Argentina vs the Springboks- The Official Match Thread
Was that the fearsome Bok forward pack that is supposed to be sending shivers down the AB's spine being man shamed around the park by Argentina?
pooooie when speaking of God always use a capital.
Thanks.
I see our Thomas is on the field.
Walsh gives Boks a penalty. Goal Kick not taken. They want possession.
Mighty Boks win by 5 points. Not on fire but job done
These Argies could surprise lesser sides like nz and OZ? Their forwards will be too tough for the abs but possibly the abs backs will rescue them?
JW we were not at our best but you have to give credit to the Argies.. They showed they belong
First away win in the RC/Tri-nations since 2009 for the boks....well done I guess, that's some achievement. Oz will put 15 on this team in Brisbane.
Kiwi bird brains please could you all take a look at the log where it refelcts the Boks in top spot. GFet used to seeing that.
I think some teams will have problems in Mendoza?
We need Vermaak to start or better still Du Preez. Side lacked fire and fowards were loose and too few committed to the rucks.
I think Argentina played very well. Some of the passing in contact was exceptional.
They played out of their skin and frustrated the boks at the breakdown.
The physicality of the pack was good and more than what is typically delivered from the All Blacks and Australian
Bean Brain i'd rush off to church and give thanks for that kiwi ref if i was you. Saved yr bacon big time.
Definitely a moral victory for Argentina. SA has used up it's get out of jail card i think so maybe seeing you were so lucky buy a lotto ticket on yr way home from church.
And i thought Arstralia were pitiful but SA has taken world rugby to an all time low with that near miss.
The Boks beat the 10th ranked side in the world home and away (barely) and Beeno thinks the trophy should be handed over...the delusion is so strong in you Beeno....
Not surprising to see the boks revert to game plan A as soon as a little heat comes on - new year, new personnel, same old boks. If the boks bring that game again the Wallabies will run all over them
Thank you Mallet - he is saying Pienaar was poor. He also thinks Juandre is not physical enough.
He says we are poor in cleaning out. Two locks and props not rucking properly. I put it as not committing enough players to the rucks.. Naas saying also that the numbers are not there at the rucks.
So you see Beeno, Mallet and naas are on the same page.
Beeno1: Boks are drowing
in self doubt. This has got to end, no use clutching for the ref excuse, that's not going to get you anywhere. Get these players to play a game plan that will work and matches there talent.
I found this clip of you laughing after this game Benno1, it's time for you to get that Beeno brain to work & not get distracted by your "normal thinking" We have confidence in you Beeno. If in doubt watch how the mighty All Blacks play, lol
JW the wee abs are creaking at the joints.
I will say Meyer has still to fill a few places in the match 22 but there is incremental improvement and that is the way this coach progress. 2014 is when I expect it to be really coming together - as I have repeatedly said. This year I expect an improvemnet and there has been an improvement. we are getting there.
Poly these were two vastly diffent Argy sides and so assessing performace is tricky. Certain players do not inspire confidence. Pienaar doesnt quite cut it. Juandre is another who though nice and mobile lacks physicality - we need Du Toit.
The loose trio needs a gasman like Britz at number 8 . Man he was impressive. Move Vermuelen to 7.
Basson fails to convince.
There is still quite a bit Meyer can do to improve the side.
If the Agies paly this well against the abs or Oz watch out. You guys do not have the forwards to match them.
Bean Brain you say the wee boks going from a 60 point win to less than a 6 point win is an improvement.
Obviously math is not your strong point,
And you say yr an accountant. Sounds like yr fiddling the books again.
Too funny mate
Boks first have to win in Suncorp in two weeks - if they do, its on like Donkey Kong and could come down to the final match at Ellis Park because I would bank them to win in Newlands against Australia. It may end up being key that the AB's did not get a four try bonus point yesterday.
I would bet Meyer is on the phone right now negotiating FDP's release for the Suncorp and Eden Park Tests.
Also think Bok backrow will need some changes or Hooper who is in great form is going to have a field day on the ground.
Hi cloudy: Boks must be lulling us into a false sense of comfort.
must be the beano master plan , lol
Boks have a shocking record in away games in the RC/Tri-Nations and especially at Suncorp, so after their bumbling effort today in Mendoza, I'm predicting a 10 point win to the Wobblies.
Looks like you'll have to put back that Bok domination for at least a decade Hasbeeno. It's not looking good for you!!
