As much as I love the Lions way

under Ackers and de Bruin......what I dont get is the non utilization of last years find of the season in lock Lourens Erasmus......he was a revelation in the CC and has only featured once off the bench this Super comp.
I dont get this at all.......not even off the bench in that he chooses to play two loosies off the bench in Brink and his son.
Ferreria and Mostert have been good as starting locks but you would have thought Erasmus would have featured as the bench lock.
Given how much he impressed last year.....personally I would have started Ferreria and Erasmus at lock and played the very impressive Mostert at 7.
Poor Lions are pretty stuffed moving forward having now lost both their tighheads along with Marx.....their platform has been nulified.......they will now struggle to achieve parity in set pieces

Agreed Saffex. Guess we gotta trust Akkerman though. Mostert is leaving next year, so Erasmus will get his chance. I really feel for Mostert. Guy is a rock star but he'll be overlooked come Bok season. Such a shame. Coetzee has a really good issue at 4 and 5. Having lost the front row players may be a good thing in the long run. I'm trying to find a silver lining probably. But maybe it's a good test of character and will be interesting to see how they adapt to being able to rely less on the very strong scrum. They'll have to get the ball out the back quickly. Seriously looking forward to this weekend. Rooi. Man I feel for your team. Gold is a monster A-hole!  Agreed, Stupid also to play guys into the ground.
Lions were struggling at scrum time against the queens. It's a big problem looming.
As for rooitwits hapless guppies well we do of course wish them all the best but take this opportunity to remind them that lardy john smit made a complete ass of himself when getting rid of Jake (Jake should have been CEO and lardy perhaps the scrum coach at best!).  Montpellier on the rise. Sharks have gone down since Jake left. Go figure. Or rather not as ou roooitwits figures never add up! 

Mostert is class act but I can appreciate why he would not be considered as an option at test level as a lock for two reasons...he is between 112 and 115kg and we have Etzebeth, Lood, Paul Willemse and PSDT as the real options.
However is such a good player that one can't ignore him and therefore should be seriously considered as a test blindside flanker.....that is where I would consider him.

Last lock we tried as a blindside was Stephanie at the RWC....a total failure. These tall chaps don't have the right physical type....you need a blindside with pace,agility and close to the ground power.  

PSDT is a "tweener" - not athletic enough for a Test 7, not big enough for a Test 5.
Bench cover maybe.

 Sorry I have to agree with Matey....look at these tackling stats from the Wales match. Steff was by far the worst, tackling more in open field he simply doesn't have the agility. Danie Rossouw is the only guy I can think of who effectively moved between the two positions.

 Himmel and this comes from the idiot ho thought lightweight Matfield was big enough to play international rugby.  And he talks of agility in the case of Alberts - a fool will always be a fool.  How long was Du Toi t on the field of play - fool?

Wow Oi....you need your eyesight checked...how the hell can PSDT not be big enough for a test lock at 2.01m and 120kg....get real man. 
He has been very good for the Stormers this comp.
He is not a 7 though....too big now.....he is bigger than most test 5 s right now 

 Ja Dave he was great for the Sharks this comp, not so good for the Stormers though.....hahaha. Five runs for 3 metres with no lineout steals. To me he is still not coming across like a Bok starter.

Listening to a fart like you is boring.  Du Toit is one of the highest rated locks in Super Rugby - but you still fail to see anything because you are still smarting about the fact that he is far better a lock than the much discredited idol of yours Matfield was in 2014 and 2015.     

 My mistake now corrected. Moz sadly in your prejudiced eyes PSDT will never be good enough. For the rest of us observers he has been bloody good this comp...easily one of the best 5s in the comp.
