Bavuma, Morris....de Kock egg for our resident experts

Hahahaha....this couldn't get funnier. According to Tokkie,  Amla and Faf should be playing provincial cricket. But he demands de  Kock be selected.....and after a poor performance behind the stumps he holes out for 5 with a shot the commentators say should not have been played in test cricket. 
And then our other resident expert Dave Humungous has been telling us how poor Bavuma is....he gets a nicely played 100. And supposedly we were desperate when we selected Morris. All he did was take the best slip catch we have seen in a while and score in the high sixties. He also bowled at a nice pace ....I can't see why he couldn't fill the all rounder slot.
So much for the experts.

Actually the kid looks a bit like the young Mozart...I like his style.

 Well the AAS is becoming more active since his brief journalistic career tanked. Unfortunately his contributions here have always been a case of substance abuse, to coin another pun.

 Quite frankly I really don't give a toss what he says...it's same old...same old...boring.

 
To be fair ...the wicket is lifeless ... a batters wicket no doubt. Nothing in it for the bowlers. Throw in a soft ball and what you have is a snore fest. 

The Poms chalked up a high score and so did the useless proteas. 

What does that tell you? There's nothing special about this test match at all. No challenge at all. 

Mozart sings their praises as he usually does when things go well ... but a thousand excuses are quickly produced when they don't.

Even Faff managed a good score. That says it all.

The muslim needed a lifeless wicket to find some runs. It's not an outstanding performance at all. Anyone could have done it.  

Same goes for Bavuma. Now suddenly the quota's a hero. Funny how the slightest above average performance suddenly turn these quotas in to sporting gods.

Bottom line is ... the wicket is as dead as a door nail ... the only scores that would deserve high praise would be if they were scored on a pitch that gave the bowler a fair shot at taking wickets.

I think my grandmother would have managed a 50 without much effort.

So Mozart ... lets be realistic ... ok??

 Bavuma was averaging 17 or so was it so naturally there were concerns about him. A century in these conditions have not entirely eliminated these concerns but well done to the lad.Amla is a class act as a bat and had to bounce back -with a lot of luck it might be added. As Mike and I and others suggested Amal was not a captain and didnt want to be. Faf was out of from but still averaging 42. But he ahd to be thought of as being under threat given a long string of dismal performances. Personally I did not call for him to be dropped.If Steyn is fit who will be dropped?

His keeping was not spot on fat stinker. It would help if you watched the game you would have seen him appealing for lbw while the ball could have been caught. Not my opinion, that of the commentators. And he let through 12 byes in 126 overs vs Bairstow ceding 4 byes in 211 overs. You do speak absolute rubbish, it just dribbles out with no fact checking....a flow of hot shyte.

 The fact remains that QDK remains a failure at test level and while I can forgive his shortcomings as a wicket keeper I can't overlook his dreadful application with the bat. Someone needs to sit the boy down and explain to him the difference between ram slam 20/20 and test cricket.
