He has retained the class youngsters who have already proved themselves at test level like Jessie Kriel, de Allende, Serfontein, Lambie, Lood, Malherbe, PSDT and Kolisi
He has rewarded class acts like Combrink, Jantjies, Faf, Mapoe, Whiteley, Notche and Jaco Kriel.
He has identified that Kitshoff is the business unlike useless Meyer
The disappointing selections are Mvovo, Paige and Louw
The squad does not have a true 7 which is a shortfall.
I am not convinced about Redelinghuis, Marcel v/d Merwe is far better
Politics has forced his hand with Scara and Mbonambi as hookers......rate them both but Bismark, Marx and Akers are far better.
There are some really stupid selections in the SA A side like Kebe at 9, Am at centre and useless Brummer at 10.
Disappointing to see the likes of Ulengo, Rohan Janse v/Rensburg, Esterhuizen, du Plessis, Akers, Jason Jenkins, Labs, Arno Botha, Dan du Preez, Lewies  and Kirsten not included in the A side. Not to mention Paul Willemse, Jacques du Plessis and Goosen based in France.

No Dave ... Kolisi has never deserved a Bok selection.
The only thing he's ever proven is that he's a useless quota. He struggles to make the Stormers run on side.
Useless.
Same goes for Jesse Kriel. All hype. No substance.
Don't agree with your comment on Redelinghuys. He's far superior to Marcell and should have been selected last year all ready.
Pleased to see no Pienaar and no Goosen.

Wow take it you missed how good Kolisi was yesterday confirming how weak your point is.

Dave, Fatlip has Piet Van Zyl and Joe Pieterson in his squad so I wouldn't worry about what he has to say, besides that it is a numbers game, selections defy all logic so under those circumstances Coetzee has done well.

The biggest surprise for me, especially after some post here and also my own suspicions is no De Jongh. I though he was a dead cert under Coetzee. In fact, I struggle to see any buddy buddy selections there...aside from Groom maybe.

Plum he is part of the Blitzbok squad as are Kolbe, Hougaard and Gelant. So not considered for tests against Ireland

He'll more than likely be brought in a little later ... and made captain.
That's probably why Coetzee has delayed announcing his fixed captain.
Kolbe will also be brought in. Of that I have no doubt.
