Great player but after that incident he can never lead a side again.

For once the 6N was far more entertaining to watch than the crap performances by our S15 sides.

At half time in the Lions game I was about to post saying what a pathetic side they are but they sure as hell turned that around. Their issue is a lack of grunt in the pack. They have good loosies and Mostert at 5 is great but they struggle thereafter. v/d Merwe has lost the clout he had at scrum time last year......not sure what has happened to him.

Faf was great at 9, Mapoe was good at 13 and Coetzee made a big difference at 15 when he came on begging the question why he was dropped in the first place. Whitely was phenomenal.

The Cheetahs were in it until Willie got carded, the wheels came off thereafter. Venter and Sadie were good in the midfield and Rhule has some serious pace. Kockott once again got away with scrumming inwards, I could not believe how the ref failed to pick up on this. Brussouw had another good game.

For the Bulls, Pollard was very good. Marcel v/d Merwe was strong in the scrums and du Plessis had another physical game. Kriel was good and Hougaard remains wasted on the wing.......made more bizarre given how average Paige has been and out of form v/Zyl is. JJ had a poor game.

For the Sharks, Lambie was outstanding......he has a wonderful eye for a gap. Botha put in some good hits and Coetzee was very good. JP was crap at 12 and Frans was stupid with that spear.

All in all it was a poor showing but we came away with 3 wins. The weather hardly helped

Agreed, some brilliant 6N games this weekend compared to a lot of uninspiring and bad-tempered rugby in the S15. Congrats to Ireland and hard luck to both Wales and England.

Agree on Pat Lambie as well. I thought he managed the game superbly once the Sharks were down to 13 players.

What upset me most about the games were -
*   the buggering up of the ref insofar as the scrumming  in the Crusaders - Cheetahs game is concerned - he allowed the Crusaders to sabotage the rules by constantly scrumming in;
* the rank idiocy of the Bulls by playing three dolts in the team - Spies, Matfield and Stegman.  Spies caused massive problems for the backline by the way he kept the ball in the scrum - when it was obvious that the ball should have gone out wide.  Stegman is just not up to standard anf Matfield's only contribution was to give away a penalty - afterwards converted by Sias Ebersohn when will that BS ends for the Bulls?
*  the idiotic play by Bismark and Steyn - but what was even worse, Steyn's  bizarrely poor display at center before he was carded.
You will obviously notice that Mozart made no comment on the two games - saying he will only comment after seeing the games.   That will never come forth - because of the poor displays put in by his favoured players and the good displays by the players he dislikes.

The 6N need to introduce the bonus point system to encourage that kind of rugby. All the Poms I watched those games with loved the enterprising style they witnessed.

How anyone can question his credentials as a quality 10 is beyond me
