Imo. sadly, 90% of the players named, are at this stage in their respective careers nothing more than good provincial quality .

Disagree that is a typically narrow minded outlook. I for one would be happy to see the majority involved with the Boks in particular Beast, Nyakane, Scara, Mbonambi, Kolisi, Oupa, Mtembu, Senatla, Rhule, Sithole, Mnisi and Mapoe.

Beast, Nyakane, Mtembu, Senatla, Sithole and Mvovo are worthy.
Mbonambi and Kolisi are close.

I'd rather have Mnisi at 12 than Jean or Kolisi ahead of Louw or Schalk.

I'd rather have Serfontein or De Allende ahead of Mnisi, this is excluding a few other options.

Meant to put "Mnisi and De Villiers"

Mvovo has also had good performances for the Boks and lots of SuperXV experience. He has also played at 15 for the Sharks. A
He should be included in the match day squad given his experience. It is a world cup plan as it is in just over half a year. He must be going on 30 which is old for a wing, but he still has the same pace by the looks of it.
Mbonambi looks like a brute with the required physicality for international level. He could be a serious physical force running onto flat passes.
He looks super determined when he is on the pitch.
He is only 23 which is relatively young for a hooker.

I am afraid that none of the players mentioned by Dave is any better then CC players - questionable on Super Rugby level.
The following played on Springbok level and looked good enough:-
Beast, Nkanyane
The following failed to impress on Springbok level - just not good enough:-
Kolisi, Oupa and Mvovo.
The following are IFFY players on Super 15 level - will never make the grade on Springbok level:-
Rhule, Sithole, Mapoe, Mnisi, Mbonambi and Mtembu.
Senatla is a Sevens player with virtually no experience in the 15 man game - a gam ble to even suggest he may be up to standard as a 15 team player.
The Cupboard is nearly empty when it comes to international level players. Most of the above would cause a serious downturn in Springbok performances. Lets be honest - we are not really producing the Black players to maintain our rating as the no 2 rugby playing nation in world rugby and a massive turnaround in the situation would be needed to even be close to the Top 6 nations in World Rugby if a change is made without drastic upgrading of Black players.

POC's good enough to play for the Boks are already playing for them. Some mentioned here will be playing for the Boks soon. Some will be good, some great and a few crap. Just like new white recruits.

Well that's not a bad side Saffex but not the best.
The problem with acceptance, compliance and lack of standing up for what is right could eventually lead to a SA side to get weaker and weaker into the future that will get whacked by Pacific Islands, Japan,Canada, Georgia with their only contestants of Namibia,Zimbabwe and Kenya...heaven forbid.
It only takes a little leven to leven the whole lump

I think ou snapster when he makes lists of players good enough for the Boks he very gets carried away. Some of his black picks are hilarious showing a complete lack of rugby acumen.Kolis and Carr. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha hilarious from ou snapster. I could go on but it appears folk realise the folly on display BwhahahahahahahahahaWe either pick on merit or crumble as the country is crumbling. You cant afford one quota pick in a side. Not one.

We get it Saf, mut merit should be the only consideration, with the 50-50 chances going the way of the previously disadvantaged. It's not how things are being done ATM.

Why should all the 50/50 chances go to the previously disadvantaged? That is also selecting on colour and is racist. In any event what disadvantage is there in any case if you are super 15 player vying for a Bok spot.Kick all this nonsense out and select on merit only. IE select on the basis that all other countries do.
