...Todd Blackadder , who is a bit of a cult hero in Canterbury has said this will be his last year coaching the Crusaders...So will we see the return of Robbie Deans...?

...Richie McCaw also mentioned in his retirement speech that he wanted to give back to the game so .. would be great to see him involved in some capacity with the Crusties and maybe cutting his teeth before he takes over as AB coach in 2020...

..Wonder what Wayne Smith is doing next year...?

Sorry to burst your bubble Brycy but I think Matfield is a shoe in as the next coach for the Crusties.
After his excellent coaching spell with the Bulls and his outstanding performance for the Springboks at WC 15 who else could possibly match him all-round.
It all depends on the offer that he is waiting for from the Pakistan Rugby Union.

...yea I'm sure the Crusties have some cunning succession plan...another Cantab whose name is been bandied about is Scott 'the breakdancer ' Robertson...he has experienced success as head coach of the NZ U20s and Canterbury so knows how to win ..a former Crusty and NZ rep on the way up the coaching ranks who could be the ONE ...needs to work on his dance moves though..

well, he has his last chance to win the title,...... his teams have played the best rugby of the comp. for years (but I don't know if this is his merit or thr merit of Canterbury-Crusaders as a whole),....... but they lacked the necessary grunt in the important moments,..... in his detriment, he disposed the best team for many years,......it would be ironical if he wins with the worst team (on paper) at his disposal
