 Disagree....there's plenty of talent in the Blitzies, the reserves have done well in the absence of their gun players, a nd had they been given a fair shake they would have beaten NZ last week.

 They did get a fair shake Denny. The ABs fair shook them up in injury time....

 Mate, I can't help you if you still can't acknowledge what went down in that final. I rest my case.

No Branco Du Preez or Cecil Afrika, with Werner Kok injured too would hurt any nations sevens team.  

 Spot-on Shezza.......I'd add the old warhorse Frankie Horne and let's not forget Justin Geduld and Philip Snyman.

 Well I'll say this Denny, we have a better shot at 7s where our small, agile players are better positioned than in the senior game, where weight plays a bigger role. That said there are always issues....the guys are tired, they are unhappy, somebody is injured. And at the end of the season in every format, NZ takes the marbles.
To be honest I'm done with the BS. We haven't won something significant since the 2009 TN. I'm sick of the great young player syndrome which dominates SA rugby. NZ are so much more professional. They have a culture of continuous improvement. We are guided by blow hards.

 Denny, why don't you just admit you lost the Final and stop bleating about the ref?Do you want to be cast in the same mould as the eternal whiners Hasbeeno and Mike??

 Where have I bleated about the Ref.....show me. And Moolaa.....I really don't care a flying fart in which mould you cast me.

 There's a multitude of reasons as to why we haven't won anything for yonks....for starters we were never really ready for the professional era, isolation killed us and we had pretenders pulling the reins for more than a decade........we also suffered a cultural change. Non of our competitors suffered the same obstacles.......all of them had a walk up start. I'm expecting things to get even worse as we've l ost our winning compass.

 I agree but we  are also going to get worse because all time greats like Matfield, JdV, Schalk and F du Preez are going to be replaced by vastly less accomplished players.

 So Denny, what does "what went down in that final" mean then?Are you blaming the ABs for winning if you're not bleating about the ref??

 I am sick of the old player syndrome that caused us to go out wholesale in everything,  The older greats should have been replaced years ago and that did n ot take place and they were kept in the team despite the fact that they were far from great by 2014.
