Last week I wrote about the NZ Heralds's Fantasy game where the members are up against a string of commentators and rugby journalists.  I wrote that all of them are way below the leading fantasy competitors - showing how gravely bad there abilities are to assess player performances and how biased and useless their articles are.  On the other hand there are also weirdos acting as rugby writers for newspapers in SA.

Now why do I mention that one again?   I thought of that when I read the report by Gregor Paul in the Herald on Sunday and in particular the following extract from that report:-

"The Lions were relentlessly awful. Exactly what purpose they were there to serve wasn't easy to tell. If their goal was simply to make up the numbers, then they needed to reassess - as they fell short. Devoid of any known players, any real ambition or direction, the Lions were relentlessly awful," Paul added."

That is BS of the first order.   The Lions beat the Blues fair and square - in the main by extra-ordinary defense - in which virtually all 15 players played a major roll.

If that is the quality of reports on matches - then I must say, the NZ public is mislead by their own Rugby Journalists.   What is clear is that Gregor Paul is obviously a bloody fool who - like some members on this site - seems to believe the drivel they dish up and tell the public what to believe without regard to facts.
