Plum, Goth chicks, or coffin kids like we called them. Man that takes me back! Back to music. I rarely like cover versions, but Desturbed has done a few good ones and SOS is just something outrageously good.

Feel free Fats to lsiten to whatever you like.
I suppose you have a recording or two of a sheep bleating whilst firmly tucked into your gum boots, huh?
Noise is still noise in the end. I'll send you a recording of my grandson bangin on a pot lid with a spoon if you like. Probably tap your foot to that too.

Haha Draad
My trick with goth girls was to tease them and say that they werent really as naughty as they tried to look. That their black lipstick didn't make them a rebel and that I didn't buy their "I'm a dirty girl" act for second.
So when it got down to it they'd always try to prove me wrong. Good times

Oh look its the 7th fat dwarf ,sleazy !Is it true your the only paid up member of Ashley Madison who couldnt score something worth worrying about when they were hacked ?If you like fat girls just put your best frock on and look in the mirror fats !What a joke you are sleazeng around a rugby site ! OMFG how sad are you ?Wanker ,last time I bother with your dull posts I think ,its not even worth the effort small as it is. .

21 May 2017, 23:01#47
nah mate for CC !I get along OK with you these days ,find CCs boorish attacks on members here childish and somewhat dull though .
22 May 2017, 08:00#48
Attack??
I merely made a comment on your taste of noi ... errr ... music.
Don't be so sensitive, Chubs!!
I realise you weren't exposed to much out there in the sticks. It's not your fault.
Can we be friends now?

Nice thread Plum!! Quite surprised at what some of you listen to. I am a rocker at heart, its quite plain to see that I am not alone in that regard. A couple of notable posts....
1) Mike, Nabucco is a favourite classical piece of mine, but I didn't know it by name....now I do, and I can listen at my hearts content. Thanks for that.
2) DbDraad. That is a great song, but check out this live version with Disturbed and Miles Kennedy from Alter Bridge. Mind blowing how good they both are live. Miles Kennedy has an insane vocal range. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3By4DZyTNM
3) CC...thunderstruck! Awesome!
4) I have an absolutely massive collection of rock music, from old classics like Johnny B Goode to heavy metal, but here is my song for the day. The guitar solo at the end...magic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_4uEaZQ2Kg

Wassat noise ? Is Klumpy the Klown bleating about his love of sheep bonking ? As I cant be arsed fouling my eyes with his whiny fat girl bleats I shall assume he is either whining about the Blues not getting booted or something about deviant treatment of sheep !What a sleazy wanker ,oops sorry sleazy fat wanker !Maybe he should stay in his warehouse cubicle filling out requisitions like a good little fat arsed desk johnny .

Nice, Blue. Pink Floyd's always been a cut above the rest.
There's just something about them that puts them in a different league.
Not sure if it's to do with schizophrenia, drugs or a combination of the two. Either way, a door was opened to another world and their experiences on that side is clearly visible.
Simply brilliant.
22 May 2017, 09:22#54
Great choice, Xavi.
His entire album "After the Fact" is a brilliant piece of work.
22 May 2017, 09:58#55
Absolutely CC! Some of PF's stuff is a little nowhere for me, but damn, they have a few gems as well! Hahaha....I am sure drugs had plenty to do with it, but who cares how they got there, as long as they got there.
Xavi, nice one! Rodriguez was robbed of his music career. If any of you are even remotely fans of Rodriguez, you absolutely have to watch the documentary Searching for Sugarman .

Blo Chuck Berry is music's version of player's choice. The amount of musicians that name him as an influence is nuts. Personally, a few riffs from Johnny B Goode will tell you everything you need to know about a guitar when shopping for a new one.
There is one band that wasn't mentioned here...

Agreed DA and Blue. Had a bootleg cassete about 15 years ago of Cold Fact with a slightly different version of sugar man, and the song Street Boy. Lol, cassetes.

As for Rodriguez isn't awesome to know that his grandchildren are half South African
His genes were drawn here.

I'd go as far as to say he was claimed in the 80's. Ho norary Saffa.
22 May 2017, 14:02#61
I like that xavi, "Honorary Saffa".
Plum, even Angus Young from ACDC lifted his iconic one legged shuffle from Chuck Berry. What a legend! Angus Young too!
22 May 2017, 14:40#62
He was big here in Oz and to a lesser extent NZ as well .he did a concert in Sydney back in the 80s ?I have an LP somewhere with Sandreven lullaby on it ,more lolz as far as LPs go but they are making a come back and cassettes were better than folks remember if you use decent tapes and players etc.

Going to see OneRepublic this summer...any good, or should I slip away to a nice piano recital.
22 May 2017, 18:59#68
@ Moz..... Is it a family members piano recital? If not go see OneRepublic. They're half decent and the beer will be cheaper.
Have a good one.

Just seen the Moody Blues performing Days of Future Past.....still cool. That album was incredibly advanced for it's time. Beachboys on Sunday.....One Republic in two weeks.
01 Jul 2017, 09:07#75
Is Moody Blues still at it? Damn! Nights in White Satin was my first dance song at my wedding. Good stuff Moz, although personally, I'd skip One republic, but good on you for getting out there and supporting the bands. I wish we had the volume of live acts you have access to over there.
01 Jul 2017, 09:44#76
One Republic ... Mozart ... ?
Haaaaaaaaahahahahaaa!! That's an odd one.
What next ... Pink? ... Lady Gaga? ... ACDC?
Rather hip aren't we?!!

So how many others of your age group were there?
Did you view the show from the gallery ... comfortably seated ... enjoying a fine red ... or were you slumming it among the younger folk ... singing out loudly ... every lyric ... waving your hands in the air with the rest of them ... at times h0 isting your missus onto your shoulders so she could flash her breasts at the band?

Hahaha...I think the band are past having boobs flashed at them. And actually it was a very mixed age crowd...I did have a nice peach and mozzerella salad, red snapper and half bottle of sparking rose' before though. You cant be too careful, it could have been a long night.
