Well a few more Sharks. With the Stormers  and the Lions off this weekend, it was an opportunity for players from our other two franchises to perform.....and in the Sharks case they did. Final Bok  Barometer for this week:

WillieSergial PetersonMapoeEsterhuizen (Serfontein)Combrink (Jumbo Ulengo)
JL du Plessis (Jantjies)Groom ( Faf de Klerk)
MalherbeStrauss(Marx)Nyakane (Marais, Smith)Snyman (Etzebeth)du ToitDaniels (Carr, Kriel, Coetzee)KirstenDu Preez (Schalk, Whiteley)

The Barometer reflects S15 form, with a modest amount of emphasis on recent games. Make your suggested changes and they will be incorporated in the first posting on the string if they appear to reflect a majority view. A new Barometer will be posted under a separate string each week.

A week ago the Du Preez twins were dumb muscle - what happened here?

I thought that the above is based on continuous upgrading bearing in mind what happened thus far in the tournament and not on weekly performances - hence my above question.  You actually should start with objective player assessments in the first place - but that is not to be expected in your case,

It is based on cumulative performance with more weight to recent weeks. In the case of the loosies neither Schalk nor Whiteley have shown up strongly enough to negate a strong performance by du Preez on Saturday. Things could change going forward, a lot of the current team are tenuous.

Imagine that team actually took the field against the All Blacks.

It would be slaughtered. But I'm just following the rules, which is to produce the form Super Rugby team.

The team is decent, but it would get killed. Of the impossible candidates- they have been scratched out:.

WillieSergial PetersonJordaan(Mapoe)   (Jordan is a wing only).
Esterhuizen (Serfontein)Combrink (Jumbo Ulengo)
JL du Plessis (Jantjies)Groom ( Faf de Klerk)
MalherbeStrauss(Marx)Nyakane (Marais, Smith)Snyman (Etzebeth)du ToitDaniels (Carr, Kriel, Coetzee)
Carr is a one season wonder- he is solid at SuperXV but I expect he is not test material.

Okay, I'll buy your Mapoe argument Shark, after all Jordaan was caught from behind by a loosie. But In Faf's last outing he cracked rather badly along with Jantjies. He will have to confirm his credentials again on the field of play. Change will be made in the first post.
