Well this ratchets up pressure on both teams. If the Welsh were a confident outfit they would just accept the gift….but I bet their coaches are thinking “it would be a disaster if we lose this”
Bok team for 2nd test . . .
I did a bit of research and this team is not a bunch of rookies. So I say the pressure is on the Boks. Two new caps but Roos is said to be the best 8 in the country so he is basically an upgrade and first team player. The other winger I don't know about at all. Lots of familiar names . The Hooker Dweba has played before and been in practice squads, so he isn't a real rookie either. There's a lot of capped experience around the players with low caps but a guy like Esyerhizen is still pretty experienced despite 8 caps. So the bottom line is that this splingblock team better win! Come on Yarpies, I'm not accepting the rookie excuse to weasel out of this one! It must be a win against a Wally team that really isn't ready for this tour.
I tend to agree with Draad and Denny, complete overalls tend to have a tendency of misfiring with SA teams especially from opponents we underestimate and Wales is one that even when we are firing on all cylinders we have a close shaves, even a defeat some years back. .
This is a good Welsh side that had us at sixes and sevens in the first half of last game. To expect an overnight result on new selection is a gamble, especially when the past years have unsettled players cohesion of playing together in one team which requires gradual adjustment.
Not saying that it won't work but it's a risk that we are not good at, and yes this has happened over the many years, there are many examples, even going right back.
When Saffas go into a panic scenario and readjust we go from bad to worse.
A twea k here and there would have been better. The 2019 side was a well-oiled and drilled outfit, with justified confidence.
This new side looks good on paper, with a lot of players of top potential but will they suddenly all get it together in one hard game against a hungry Welsh side that almost beat the Boks at Loftus, not sure..
All I can say, if they don't then the pressure and panic will appear with the real big one against the AB's.
Well, there's 14 changes to the side and a couple of newbies......is there anyone who seriously expects this new team to gel and win? Pray please tell I'm all ears.
All I'm saying is that there is a better way to make changes to the team without the risks that's now involved but you know, in Greek mythology the Thorn Bird impales itself.
Well no, there's enough youth, skills and energy in this side to mandate a running/attacking game, anything shy of that defeats the purpose of choosing this side.
I don't expect to see old faithful the rolling maul as we did last week.
Word is o ur backline coach Main-dik Stick is licking his chops in anticipation.

Ah yes. Centres played a lot together, better half backs, apparently your best loose trio and a solid front row. Not a lot to complain about.
One player that I'm glad to see is Andre Esterhuizen, it's long overdue.
The trouble is that they'll probably only give him only a limited number of bites at the cherry and if he does not get the exposure he might need to settle in, discard him and because of this I hope he has a humdinger otherwise his critics will falsly believe they were right in the first place.
Y es, I think we'll win on Saturday.
Same as Rooi for me. If it was always in the plans for this team to play the 2nd test then they've been had two weeks to train together.
Ofcourse they should win, but after last week, its a bit of a gamble...but it's a lot of very gifted players in good form...we should win this well....but we won't know how some of these newbies will fit into our best Bok side...looks like a Barbarian/Spartan Bok side....I really hope this team does well.
Watch the aftermath... the team is shit, its all the bulls fault, Erasmus should coach the team, Ersmus should stop coaching the team, a is better than b, we have the best depth in the world but only one player in each position is the real deal. Fucking chooks lost at fucking sea!
Still salty...
Well you would be after I ejaculated all over your stupid posts.
Red Knob the serial Blow up doll Fucker...little Keyboard warrior...you have been proven a Fake on here, you absolute horror of a Human being... I bet, you one lonely Fuck!!
A sophisticated little runt. I bet you pick your nose with your toes too.
Well.... that's a new one
"When an experiment is too wide, you’re probably wasting your time."
"But when you change almost the entire side…it makes no sense unless you’re going for a clean slate and starting fresh with what you believe is your best team.
Anyone got a clue what the reasoning is here?"
I'm stumped...makes no sense at all...unless Strauli has hacked Rassie and Niena's brains ...
...or Dave got his hands on some mind altering software, but was still forced to include Orie as some sort of karma sacrifice...
So, you have an established centre pairing, your supposedly best loose trio and a stronger lock duo and your supposedly best flyhalf and and in form fullback who is praised all around by everyone and said to be playing well. Winger Fassi is praised a lot. So what's the fucking problem? Front row isn't bad and the bench seems strong enough for the Wallies, so why are you arrogant bastards now turning chicken?
No you fool...we're simply saying that this isn't our best team and we don't understand the logic behind the experiment...none of the individual performances will be in proper context...
You people are fucking morons. It's fucking obvious isnt' it... game time and depth. Besides this is a lot more like the best starting xv than game 1 so this should be a bigger win.
Anyone got a clue what the reasoning is here?
Well, According to Nienabar it's to do with whether the rookies and the inexperienced can handle pressure.....and that if they started next week after the Boks had won the second test and sealed the series then those said players wouldn't be under pressure and he'd be none the wiser about their ability to perform under pressure.
Not sure how to follow that kind of reasoning but I'll say it again, win, lose or draw it's madness and for the clowns who think I'm wishing a Bok loss.......no I'm not, I hope the guys win.
Enough said, it's time to rock and roll.
Go Bokke!
You moron.
Well now.....tx Ringie, I won't forget to send you a birthday card.
