RG at 5? Really? I thought he was a 4. There is a huge difference between 4 and 5 and it goes way beyond line out calls an being an enforcer. A lock is not a lock, just like a flank is not a flank. both sides are specialist positions. Like tight head and loose head. Players making a successful transition to the other side is extremely rare...even more so at international level.
And PSDT is not small or short with a long neck...horse sh!t...find something else to bait Maaik with.

Look it up.....Stephanie is equal to Whiteley at the shoulder, 2 inches taller at the top of the head. I'm seeing long neck....what are you seeing Draad.
Which raises an interesting point, does a long neck ever become a lineout advantage? Surely not, the relevant point on the body has to be the point at which the shoulder hinges.....at that point Stephanie is a loosie. This may clear up the mystery of why a reasonably athletic chap like Stephanie has never become a reliable lineout option.
Or perhaps Draad you think it's a long chin....get real.

Is that 7cm longer neck the reason for the 10k weight advantage he has over Whiteley? A 120kg lock is not small. Wee Matfield was small and Mostert is small. PSDT might have a long neck but he is not small....as for the slow? I can't find any stats on that ATM.

Look at Stephanie next to Eben or Lomp and he is the next level down in size.....call him medium sized. I never believe the weight numbers, they are too easily manipulated.
Still my main point is he doesn't play as tall as his stats.....and somewhat tongue in cheek I have suggested the problem is he is a shorter chap with a longer neck. That appears to upset you, but you now admit he has a long neck.....funny stuff Draad.
The truth about Stephanie is simple.....he is in his 6th season as a Bok, and still not first choice at 5. Why? Because the coaches are all stupid, or because a few pick and goes don't impress them as much as they impress fans.
After Puke Watson there is no more hyped player than Stephanie, he was never going to live up to that.

I have to agree wit Moz, Mostert is looking more like a flank. I am warming up to RG more as time goes by. When Rassie is fired in the coming 6 months, there may be an opportunity to fully realise RG's potential. Steph is passive type. It's difficult to form a competitive team with passive players.
