This should ensure Coetzee gets the Bok coaching job for life!

Scotland have replaced South Africa in the top five of the World Rugby rankings, following their 29-13 win over Wales in Edinburgh on Saturday.

Scotland’s first victory over Wales in 10 years earned them a 1.28 rankings points increase, elevating them to fifth in rankings, their highest-ever position on the list.

The Scots’ three-place jump from eight to fifth relegates Allister Coetzee’s Springboks to sixth, while Wales and France, who lost to Ireland, drop to seventh and eighth respectively.

World Rugby rankings (Top 10)
1. New Zealand 94.78
2. England 91.02
3. Australia 86.35
4. Ireland 84.18
5. Scotland 82.18
6. South Africa 81.79
7. Wales 81.16
8. France 80.57
9. Argentina 79.91
10. Fiji 76.46

At 6 we are punching well above our weight, our true slot in below Argentina. With AC being given the ANC stamp of 'Great Coach' its only a question of time tillwe break into double digits.

"It is going to be a lot worse than that by the end of the year."

I bet you're wrong.

Even with a clown like Allister Coetzee as coach and the ANC dictating how many players of colour have to be selected, we're still a great rugby nation and we will get back into the top 3.

Not saying we'll get there this year but we won't drop any further. I'll bet you if you like.

I believe it is the first time that Scotland has been above the Boks in the rankings. Hopefully another Indaba will improve things

Even with a clown like Allister Coetzee as coach and the ANC dictating how many players of colour have to be selected, we're still a great rugby nation and we will get back into the top 3.

The ANC dictates nothing as Coetze did not meet the quotas. The quota policy is one of these tricks to try to hide the situation of rugby in SA.

Not saying we'll get there this year but we won't drop any further. I'll bet you if you like.

Rankings  mean little as they depend on the played nations.
SA has not the english luxury of hiding from NZ.

It's been a while SA is no longer a great nation of rugby.  It is a nation with a past, acquired before the effects of profesionalism were felt.

Even a great coach could not dress the SA rugby level.  SA is kept in the game by foreign desires to keep sporting events tied to SA.
Today, with players scattered, running the world for cash, an antiquated vision on rugby, a sport with no popular roots and support, no collective idea on how to play the game, the question is on the causes not to dissolve the rugby team.

SA cant afford a rugby team that is only top three. SA must get a team that wins.
Which is far from being the case.

Traditionalist, if for some strange reason I ever want the opinion of an incoherent race-obsessed half-wit then I'll be sure to put your name up in the subject box. Until then, keep your stupid trap shut and don't respond to my comments.
Thanks.
Oh, and please note that I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Race obsessed? Excellent men have that way of denying themselves and their actions.

SA made an obsession of race and as so often, excellent men have no clue about undoing what they have done.

It would be highly incoherent to dismiss that fact on whatever ground.

Wales and France are just behind us in the world rankings Rooinek, it really is not that far fetched to expect that they may overtake us. It is a distinct possibility. I am not a betting man, so you are on your own there, but let us compare predictions at the end of the year.
Who the fuck are excellent men?

I see the site does not like my use of vulgar words! Sad, but if I managed to log on, I suppose other children can too! (I am not a child, but I am often told I act like one)

". . . let us compare predictions at the end of the year."

Sure. I'm saying we'll be no lower than we are currently, you're saying we'll drop further down the rankings.
