What is wrong with this Afrikaner boy? He like the oldage pensioners in the team. Why did he pick players and take them on a holiday? Some never played in Europe just party.
If South Africa win the world cup with this lot it will be because it is as rigged as Sep the Bladder soccer stuff.
Meyer is a rubbish coach who is not developing the team with all the oldage people in it.

Bluebok, I posted a video exposing Goosen. Injuries were the least of his worries. He cost us two tests all by his lonesome self. Injuries were not to blame.
de Jongh is statistically the best 13, aside from Fourie over the past three years.
Lambie has been tested to death for FIVE years and has produced the same substandard performances, consistently.
JP was tested already at the Sharks and failed, why repeat it?
Morné was actually not bad this year. He made one missed kick. His performances have been far superior to anything Lambie has dished up at any point this year.
Disagree. Without Morné we have only 1 test quality 10 and that's Pollard. If Meyer wanted to drop Morné then he left himself no option but to play Pollard exclusively. Not ideal, I don't agree with it either, but that's the situation Meyer has made for himself and he took the worst possible course of action... bail on a player who helped us beat NZ and back-out of all the praise he heaped on him for a player who is at best Currie Cup level. That's disgraceful. Morné made his mark of the bench as a fullback, changed the course of several tests off the bench. As a starter he further cemented his place. Lambie has had two EOYTs, came of the bench for a further two, had numerous starts and bench showings. He has had more than enough opportunity. He has been a failure.

When Goosen first arrived he was brilliant! After that he kept on getting injured before he could regain any decent form. I am not saying he did anything major in the two tests, although I don't think he was the failure you seen to think he was.
De Jongh's size will be exposed at test level. He is an attacking weapon, but the space required for players like him to thrive is a scarce commodity in tests.
I have made no secret that I am not a Lambie fan, and that he didn't live up to the hype. BUT, with the resources we have at the moment, he is the more "conservative" option. The only 1 0 that has been tested is Morne, and right now he is failing. Lambie is number two in the experience category.
JP, lack of options. Not much else I can say here. We lack a decent 13 in SA.
Morne was bad this year. I think 90% of rugby enthusiasts share my view. Shit, he lost us the test in Australia, all by his lonesome! Simple as that! One of many bad mistakes!
Pollard, Lambie, Boshoff, Steyn....in that order!

Meyer's dumbest decisions ever:-
* Bringing in Gurthro Steenkamp into the EOYT squad and persisting wth him subsequently. * Selecting Juan de Jongh to play at 13 in the 2012 test after he flopped in Super 15 - was amply repaid by De Jongh going AWOL in both tests he played in.* Selecting Bakkies Botha for the tour squad in 2013 and sticking with him through all his sub-par performances.* Bringing back Matfoieield and refusing to recognize that he is sub-par - even in line-out play.* Bringing Morne back at flyhalf in 2014 after atrocious performances against the ALL blacks in the 2013 RC and against Wales in June 2014 - especially in view also that he never was this Club's no 1 flyahlf.
* Bringing back Juan Smith for the test in Salta this year
What is noteworthy - the players mentioned are virtually all geriatric has beens - or in the case of De Jongh and Morne Steyn - never-has-beens.

After reading Meyer's statement again _ I have too agree waprtly with what he said - bar for the issue of Jean de Villiers - where performances next year has a huge bearing on the issue.
Now lets look at the potential 31 players - accepting that 17 will be forwards and 14 backline players so who has much to play for in Super 15 and the June tests next year:-

I exclude Kolbe because of the size issue - he is just not up to standard to face the bigger and stronger backline players. Partly agree with beeno - he should play at scrummie.

Francois Steyn is seriously deficient and so is De Jongh.
