Plum, it looked like it, but it's not 100%, so can't overturn on field.

Draad, the ball changed direction after his foot hit the ground. For me, it was very clear.

lol, nice game. Ireland fought bravely but the early score from Arendse and the fresh pack coming on was too much. Strange game though. Unlucky, Stav

Yes well done boys….Irish is a class act and truly a top team ….man our defence needs attention….we running more ball in hand, but now our defence has taken a dip….Blob or someone if you guys have a link to the full game pls….missed a lot…Gerhard Steenekamp is yster and Koch and Marx the magic man… that scrum saved our bacon ….Kriel has got his form back….well done eventually we beat the Irish!

Enjoyed that, better quality game than the ABS. Irish a tad unlucky but Boks did enough to deserve the win.

Mostert was very good today for the short amount of time he was on the field…made more tackles than Pieter, not that pieter was bad, he had good carries but longer on the field than Sous…..Lekke Bokke that was tense and the Irish is coming for us…

Of course PSdT was MotM . . .again!

To think otherwise you'd have to be a rugby noob or a hopelessly biased fool.

I'm pretty sure it's only on this forum that this great Springbok gets castigated week in and week out. Pieter Steph and Eben are two great players - among the best of their generation - yet on this board, one of them is idolized and gushed over, being called the greatest in his position of all time and other such accolades    while the other is demonized, written off as a talentless plodder who makes a lot mistakes, never has a positive impact and pretty much lumbers around the field making no contribution other than "process" tackles.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure it's only on this board but even if it's not, this childish little theory that Eben is the best in the world while PSdT is the worst in the world gets disproved in nearly every game where the two play in the same test . . . as it did today . . . and in the previous game against Wales . . . as it was disproved in the RWC . . . and before that in the semifinal . . . and many, many times before that as well.

Just wait for the shrill shrieks of blasphemy in response to this post but it's true, Pieter-Steph has made a bigger impact than Eben in nearly every game they've both started in the last year or so and more often than not, he is the Springbok who makes the difference between us winning games we would otherwise have lost without him . . . and never more so than in the big games where he always steps up to the plate . . . like in the last two RWC finals . . . which we won!

Only on this board is this great Springbok treated with such disrespect . . . and that's probably because we have so many ignorant and biased rugby noobs.

Well done Bokke!

Who got Mom today? Eben had a little bit more quiet game today, Pieter was better today ….. besides that it was a team effort… this win will give a lot of confidence for the second test and also for our games after that vs AB,OZ and pumas.

Mostert wsz as useless in  tight 5 play as  only he can be.   I do not believe he did anything at brfeakdiwns and the Irish in driving mails used by the Irish he went AWOL.   He alsos tand arolund away from breakdiwnn ball protection/

Quite a strange little information point. I can't recall the last time I saw a hooker get blown up for a dummy throw-in. And today I saw it twice. Once in the AB game and once in our game. Hopefully we have some better games next weekend. I thought the England/AB game fizzled out towards the end and the Bok game felt awkward and like nobody really settled in.

Kolbe and Arendse are my two MOMs. They literally created and finished two tries. Other players who had exceptionally good games include Kriel and Kolisi. Stephanie had his best lineout performance in a while.

Kriel was the official MOTM, but for me PSDT had a super match on the right wing.

Kriel seemed to have a high error rate on first viewing. Did plenty of running but not always to good effect, like at 51:20 when he failed to offload to Willie in space on his inside with Arendse running support outside, which would have been a prime try scoring opportunity. I'll watch the game again later, had a distracted viewing last night.

DDA throwing the ball at Jessie's face was the move of the game. Jessie knocked it on in the end. DDA plodding into the Irish line, on there 22, and being easily held up and giving away possession, was the second best play of the game. Then of course, at number 3 we have DDA receiving the ball in a rather innocuous passage of play and suddenly seeming all confused, confusing, Jessie in the process. I wish I had the time to splice together a video. Notice how rarely DDA was involved in actual moves. I can deal with Jessie at 13...but every game that DDA is at 12 is a wasted opportunity for someone with an actual brain.
