Mozart you are missing the bnig picture... the pack are SHIT. Attacking play in modern rugby is the forwards and backs LINKED in groups and how those groups work together. The Block pack are unskilled, weak and stupid. You cant attack without skilled dynamic forwards.

Plum to answer your question as to why "Stick" is in the position he is in.
Simple answer is that he is reputed to be a great backline coach.
He meets all the ANC requirements for the position:
A. Colour.
B. No freaking clue what he has to do besides sit in the box at game time and pretend that he is following the game.
C. Has the required first hand backline experience necessary to destroy the Springboks.
D. Must be related to some high up ANC connections.
E. Most importantly, knows FA about rugby.
