There can be np dispite about the fact that the All Blacks played brilliantly against the Pumas - the score says it all. I think Carter made a huge difference to the performance of the backline and him and Nonu combine was the real spark that inititated the try scoring spree
It is clear that the Argentininans decide to play a different ball game against the All Blacks - namely a running and expansive game. However, there were too many handling errors on their part - three of which resulted directly in tries for the All Blacks.
The other issue of importance here is that tthe the Argentinians have some problems in defence if that type of game is being played by opposing teams . It happened in the second test against the French, in the first game against the Springboks in Cape Town and even more so tonight.
I must emmpasuze that Carter made a huge difference to the performance of th All Blacks. However, in a lose game Criuden after he came on tonight made a good line break leading to a NONU TRY.
The foundation was laid by a solid performance by the All Black forwards, They were in the position to play a passing game themselves - and hence allowing for backline players to actually shine.
Not that there were some minor nickles though. Although not as obvious later in the game - there were initially some defensive lapses -one of which led to the first Argentina try. A few passes went astray or was knocked on, and there were penaties - mainly related to forward play.
Any team wishing to beat the All Blacks must avoid handing over of balls to them through handling errors - their cover defence need to be faultess and they effectively need to draw the forwards in and not allow them to roam freely like was the case tonight.
Now for a bit of stirring - I thought that McCaw tonight had a rather average game - hardly noticeable for most of the time he played,
