FNP           -    Le Pen     =   30%Repulicans  -    Sarkozy    =   27%Socialists   -    Hollande    =   22%
That means a run-off election on Sunday next week.   In moist Regions the run-off will be between the FNP and the Republicans - but in some regions it would be between the FNB and the Socialists and in exceptional cases between the Republicans and the Socialists.
Sarkosy is not in favour of a joint move to keep the FNB out if it involves the Socialists on an organised basis - while the Socialists are keen to follow that route to keep the FNB from getting control in regional governments.
It is unlikely that the FNB would get the additional support needed to govern in m ore than potentially two regions - although opinion polls suggest that they win in 4 of the 13 regional authorities in the run-off elections next Sunday.   So Beeno will have to wait and see what happens in the elections on Sunday.

in today’s Times suggests that French Jews are ready to discard their long-standing distrust for the Far Right and vote for the Front National.  The Front Nationale won in 6 of the 12 regions in France. meaning that they are involved as leading party in those 6 regions, but it is not sure who the main rivals would be in those 6 regions - it could either be the Republicans or the Socialists - with the former not prepared to withdraw their candidates and the latter likely to do so in areas where they came in third.   That would leave the race between the Right-wing FN and the Republicans.  
In the other 6 regions it is not clear who are leading in the race - it could either be the Socialists or the Republicans.   It is also not clear who came second in those 6 Regions. If thee FN came third it is likely they would withdraw their candidates - which could be of benefit to the Republicans.
However, I am not sure what will happen in the run-offs and it could be that the FN may win in two regions.
In essence I do not think the FN are Nazi-orientated - but they are similar to the UKIP in England - to the right of the major parties, but definitely not Nazi.  The image is based on propaganda by the major Liberal Newspapers - I believe.
