Seems the Bulls stuffed the Chiefs in Oz, scoring a bunch of tries. The Chiefs team looked a little unfamiliar.....any comments on this from our fair minded NZ colleagues?

It was not the full Chiefs team - one can say it was their juniors or "B" team.  A typical pre=season match with nothing to play for.    I would not say that the Bulls had a real competitive opposing team to contend with.

On paper the Bulls have the best SA team this year for me. Not my favorite team but a lot of players that I like are there.

Pollard is the difference this year.

I like Pollard, and he has massive potential, but he has had a great many very average games. Especially in the period leading up to his injury. I am excited about his return, but I think we need to keep things real as far as he is concerned. Hey may well turn out to be the greatest bok flyhalf yet, but there is no proof whatsoever that we have unearthed the next Dan Carter in Pollard. The prospect is there, but I reckon we need to see more of him before we get too excited.

Seriously though, can't they find better 9s than Paige and van Zyl? Both so average.

Very true Plum. Paige has zero x-factor!

Van Zyl is handy enough start with Him. Paige does little aside from passing the ball.

I'd like to see Reinach play with this Bulls team rather being wasted at the Sharks. I guess though that, if the Sharks are going to start building post Smit and Gold then they'll wanna do it with some decent players.
Anyone got thoughts on the EP 9...Hall? He looks decent.

Shawn Venter is our best 9. I hope WP signs him to play next to JLdP.
I still have hope that Kleintjie Carel will be the next super hero.
