"Then Rubes was asking for the ball so I was like that must mean something's on so I got up, had a look, and no one was in the middle so I thought I might as well just go. 'It is what it is',"

Roigard added, addressing the criticism head-on. He expressed that while the online backlash was notable, his focus was solely on leveraging the situation to his team's advantage, denying any intent to "milk" the incident.

Despite the controversy, Roigard's performance was undeniably impactful. He not only assisted in Jordie Barrett's try but also contributed significantly with 79 meters gained from six runs, which included two clean breaks and beating three defenders.
