Cape Town as a movie location.

Early this year we were entertained by a movie with Vikings landing at Swart Klip. Now I find the movie about the first Thanksgiving ...Saints and Strangers... was shot in the Tokai forest and near Cape point. This really was well filmed and tells both sides of the Settler/Indian story quite directly. For those in the US it can be found on National Geographic Channel Demand.
Added to this almost every car ad seems to have Noordhoek in it somewhere.
It all goes to show the Cape is as photogenic as any place Earth. I can't honestly think of any other place where mountain and ocean are so intertwined.

 So which place on SA would make a good backdrop for a "Fallout "movie ?Any place beendork inhabits would be pretty toxic !

If you have not seen Cape Town and surroundings you have not live a full life.  Going to the top of Table Mountain and looking out to the beauty beyond words.  If you have not seen Constantia - Kirstenbosch - Boschendal - Chapman's Peak - and has not watched rugby and cricket at Newlands you have done yourself short in life.
If you have not gone to the Victoria and Albert Waterfront on a Sunday and listened to the performances there after taking a champagne cruise on the bay - you have missed out something of beauty in life.  
Cape Ton is known as the Mother City - one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

 Indeed Table Mountain has always been on my wanna go there list since reading about it as a kid .Think I'll five that district 9 place a miss though....

There are places in any city worth giving a miss.  I can remember places in London and Paris where the same applies.   
Cape Town is worth going to - but also a base from where you can go to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.   

 Might wanna do a braai when you over.....bietjie potjiekos and bunnychow just to wet the appetite. Kaapstad, there's nothing like it....ain't seen CT then you ain't seen nothing.

 My older brother married a Capetown girl back in the 70s .
