Knowing the French he would lose his drivers license for three to five years.
Carter has not been that hot for Racing Metro.

Dan Carter has behaved with grace on the rugby field and been a joy to watch, My opinion of him doesn't change because of this. But at that level of intoxication he is a danger to himself and others....hopefully he will establish some new rules for himself.

Sadly, this appears to be true. Here is a link.
What a twit!
I know of two forum members who won't really be "phased" (sic) by this news because they both think it's pretty cool to drink and drive. Hope those two losers are as far from my kids and grand kids on the roads as Dan Carter is!

Tell me DA, are you saying you have never touched weed, acid, magic mushrooms or any other recreational drug? When you were a student, teenager, young adult? Drunk driving is never okay and anyone has the right to condemn it. Priest, Prostitute, teacher or drug lord. You are just looking for excuses to take a shot at Rooi no matter how irrelevant it is to the discussion. Also, I wonder how many people on this board can honestly say they have never had one too many and still taken a chance gotten behind a steering wheel? I'd go as far as to say, in my life most people, regardless of their income, walk of life or status, have at some point in their lives driven while knowingly being over the limit.
I do not drink and I have never taken a drug, so I regard myself as having the right to condemn both, but many good people I know have done and some still do either or both. It is their free will, and quite frankly, I don't care what people do as long as it does not negatively impact their lives or the lives of those around them.
So DA, the only "irony" here is, that admit it or not, most on the board have done what Carter has done...and can condemn the act, but not the man.

Get off that very high horse blue

I am not looking for any excuse to take any shots.... the opportunity was presented by the board druggie himself.

Piss Mint is trying to ridicule two members on here over something that happened many many years ago,

Just like he took drugs before, why don't you tackle him about why he is taking shots against these two posters.....?

Why, do you  assume you are better than me?

He's agitating, he better not, not with his long history of drug abuse. As a matter of fact my drinking and driving is not his damn business and sure I agree it's not the right thing to do but hey that happened about 10/12 years ago and I didn't suffer an accident. There's no sense in laboring a dead topic...not from a druggie anyway unless you're agitating.

DA try not to have a breakdown! It is simple, I expect that most people have smoked a bit of weed at some point, as I stated, just about everyone I know has. The fact that I have never touched weed is irrelevant, because I don't give a rats arse about it, so weather you have or have not is not skin off my back.....buuuuut, if you have, then you have no right to have a go at Rooi. That is all I am saying. Answer the question and the whole thing can be put to bed.
Also, Rooi admitted to smoking a J back in the day (If I remember correctly) ...which, as I have made quite clear, I don't give a rats arse about. He never said anything about smoking weed/drinking and then driving, which I do have a problem with.

Uh-oh . . . looks like bluebok has got Dumb Ass into a state of trembling indignation.

Please exercise caution in future, bluebok. You'll find it doesn't take very much to set Dumb Ass off on one of his sanctimonious and foot-stamping tangents.

I find it's better just to let him have his tearful and self-righteous rant but ignore his shrieking demands (like "why do you assume you are better than me?" as an example) for replies and hope that he gradually calms down to a state of simmering rage. Doesn't always work but better than trying to actually engage him. That just makes it worse.

That the boorish Carter might have knocked over and killed someone is of little concern as this is obviously acceptable behavior in nz.  Another chapter in the long litany of bad kiwi behavior!

After investigation, twice over the limit is 1g/litre. It could be a lot of drinks as it could be not that many.

Seriously DA, stop being so petty! You are arguing for the sake of arguing. You have not made one decent point. I don't think I'm special cos I have never smoked weed, I never said anything of the sort.
As far as my opinion of you as a person goes, it makes no difference to me weather you have or have not smoked weed. Get it? Right. Let me make get to the actual point. It is hypocritical to belittle someone for "using drugs" if you have done the same. Hence my asking weather you had done so or not. In other words, I don't give a rats arse if you have smoked weed, but I do give a rats arse if you are a hypocrite.

blue

Get over yourself.... seriously......please

You say that I haven't made a decent point here yet, well.....What decent point have you made here.... let's summarize.

You assumed that I had previously done drugs, as you yourself said, most people you know do or have done it.... in fact you were pretty certain I had from your original post, but of course, you weren't sure, so you called me out on it...... a bit rich, but who cares right

Piss Mint tackled two posters on here for something that apparently happened 10 -12 years ago, but yet you have never directly asked Piss Mint if he was ever behind the wheel while he was drugged up for all those years, (and of course he will say he never was)....... but you accuse me of taking a shot on him, but it's ok for him to targets others on here, whilst the balance of probabilities are that he certainly did get behind a steering wheel while drugged up himself.

You are a hypocrite

Unless you want me to believe that driving drunk, or driving drugged up, are very different scenarios.

For the record, I don't give a rats arse if he did or didn't, but to call someone else out when you yourself where a druggie is a bit rich, unless of course, as I am sure he will attest to, he was a perfectly behaved casual or social druggie who never did anything wrong while he was drugged up, which includes not driving.

Whatever

DA, this is a silly argument. You refuse to answer my question, so be it. Did Rooi drive drunk or high at some point as a youngster? Probably....although, most here have most likely done the same. It remains an a$$hole move, no matter who does it. Anyway, as I said, I am outa here. Have a good weekend.

Funniest message board story . . . ever!
Picture the scene . . .
Dense and Moffie have just met for the first time.
World's ugliest human being knocks on the door to be greeted by a pompous and spiteful old fossil with the emotional maturity of a 7 year old. It's love at first sight.
The very first thing they do is run to Moffie's laptop, log on to Supersport (or whatever MB it was at that time) and type a message telling Rooinek that they're getting sloshed on whatever vulgar and overpriced wine Moffie was plying them with and I wasn't . . . nyaah nyaah nyaah . . . they were quite probably pulling tongues at the monitor as they typed it.
They logged on some time later to tell everyone how wonderful the other was, to mention again the fact that Rooinek wasn't with them having this marvellous time and to brag about how much wine they'd drunk.
This is a true story by the way.
Quite soon after their second posting, I asked the perfectly innocent question of who drove Dense home . . . but I was too late. Dense had obviously blundered off into the night already and I can only imagine Moffie passed out shortly afterwards because it was only the next morning that the hungover Dense replied to my question and claimed that his wife had driven him home.
Okay, I thought to myself, it's a bit sad that these losers had to interrupt this supposedly wonderful time they were having with each other to log on here and have a litle snap and a snarl at me, but hey, at least they were sensible.
You can imagine my surprise when Moffie logged on later that day to say that Dense had in fact driven him and his wife home because . . . ummm . . . they'd apparently hardly had anything to drink.
You see, Moffie was so eager to have another little pop at me that he missed Dense's reply!
Embarrassing or what?
LMAO . . . FY!
There was a lot of sputtering and name-calling after that but whatever else was said, nobody was in any doubt as to what had happened. Dense had driven home in a drunken stupor and Moffie had waved him goodbye. That's why Dense is getting a bit defensive further up the page when he talks about me "agitating" and attempts to deflect attention to my alleged rampant drug and alcohol abuse . . . but credit to him, at least he doesn't deny what happened.
Moffie . . . well, you all know Moffie. He'll either studiously avoid this thread or else he'll lie and make up some lies about me to change the subject.
Any other message board old-timers out there who remember this story?
Baboon-ou would have been around at that time but I doubt he'll be able to verify my version of events but let's get real here . . . I doubt Baboon-ou remembers what time feeding time is today let alone recall a truly hilarious message board legend from the mists of time.

Total fabrication. Denny and his lovely wife had lunch at our house in Bantry Bay. We had a nice little local wine along with lunch....no more than any of the thousands of tourists have every day in CT before they drive back to their hotels. We then mutually posted with a message of goodwill to our fellow posters. That was enough to wrench Urinal back to his Alcoholics Anonymous lessons and the poor tit flipped, to the great amusement of everybody else on the Board. The poor loser was the subject of many a joke......lashing out at his tormentors in his usual overwrought way In the meantime Denny's son arrived to say hello. Nice stuff all round.....but a bitter pill for Urinal.

Look UrineRooi, unlike you I don't live a boring, insecure and miserable life. I guess I should feel honoured that an alcoholic and drug abuser shows an interest in my life but I'm not, as a matter of fact, I'm hard pressed to find a care in anything you say or do .

Dan Carter has always been a good example on the field.  He played/plays his rugby with passion.  I do not know the guy on a social level and his life is his life.
If you have been a teetotaler all your life and never touched a drink, by all means vent our anger at the habit.  However I suspect that not one of us here can solemnly swear we have never ever driven a vehicle, rode bike etc while slightly intoxicated.
It's a stupid act, one that can have dire consequences and I am sure young Daniel will learn from this.  It has howe ver not affected his rugby...yet.

"I do not know the guy on a social level and his life is his life."
I beg to differ. It is, IMO, not accurate to say that when you put yourself behind a steering wheel. Then your life also becomes the life of others and their lives become yours. Drunk or sober. Whether you are more guilty or less guilty of driving over the limit, than the next person, is determined by your blood/alcohol reading and not by who you are.
It is also not just a stupid act. It is a felony.

Mr C - I totally agree, the act is as you describe it but to desecrate the guy for his deed is also not that cool.  I know in my younger days I was guilty of having a toot with the team and then hopping in the car on my merry way.  However, where I lived there were few cars - it definitely was not Fran ce..
