 500 odd test caps against 15. The cheaters had no chance, even if they played their first team...starting with second stringers did not help the cause at all.

Some perspective: It was always going to be a tough task for the Cheetahs with so many players injured and on the sidelines, but while the scoreboard may not show it, their second half in particular was a lot more inspiring as the team kept ball in hand and made the home side work a lot harder for possession.

Unfortunately, a few late tries by the home team stretched the scoreline to look closer to a massacre than the tough outing it was.

That is dismissing the opposition.
It is easier to defend against a side (cheetahs) unable of attacking
It is harder to defend against a side (los jaguares) able of attacking

SA teams offensive plans is running to the opposition to hit them. Running to go past the opponent or avoiding them is not included.

When playing against a SA team, two types of tackles must be distinguished: the wall tackle: the player runs at the opposition, the tackle is the result of the tackled player colliding with the tackling player. And another type of  tackle when the tackling player chases down the tackled player.

Because, facing a SA team, the number of tackles grows fast for any player who has the merit of standing on his spot. Sooner or later, he is going to be hit by a SA player driven by the SA attacking plan: pick up the ball, target the closest opposing player, bump into him, rinse, repeat.
Boom, boom, boom.

It seems that the antiquated SA rugby vision has not yet figured out that in a crowded sport like 15 rugby, it is easier to hit an opponent than running past him.

Home games will tell whether SA teams are able of a bit more.
