 Only reading the updates as provided by the ROAR but it is clear the Sharks are doing ok. Chiefs will have their hands full in the second half. Need to play their type of game & rack up some points.

 CHIEFS EDGE NEW PLYMOUTH THRILLER REPORT: THE CHIEFS HELD ON IN THE FACE OF A STRONG, LATE SURGE BY THE SHARKS TO SECURE A THRILLING 24-22 WIN IN THEIR SUPER RUGBY ROUND 10 ENCOUNTER IN NEW PLYMOUTH ON FRIDAY.

Despite being outscored by three tries to two, the Chiefs managed to cement their place at the top of the Super Rugby standings through the boot of All Black flyhalf Aaron Cruden - a who kicked a conversion and four penalties.

Despite getting off to a fast start, the Sharks kept coming back - drawing level (15-all) at half-time and closing the gap to just two points in the final 10 minutes.

Man of the match: Garth April once again showed that he is a player for the future, while the Du Preez twins - Daniel and Jean-Luc - were at their brutal best. Damien McKenzie had his moments, but were largely well-marked. Michael Leitch was a bundle of energy, Sam Cane was a workhorse and Brodie Retallick showed why he is rated as one of the best locks in the world. However, out award goes to Chiefs flyhalf Aaron Cruden, who is fast regaining his best form and directed the ship to victory.

Hope to see replay on TV

Beens there was only really one dodge call that I picked up. It was at arpund the 73rd minute or so. Ref said a shark had gone in off his feet. Was a pretty crucial time in the game as the Sharks were in the ascendancy. It happened at the far end of the field so on TV it was pretty tough to see it. But surprise surprise...the NZ producer, though there was a about a 60 second break in play after the whistle blew, never showed the replay. Don't necessarily think anything dodge happened, but why on earth will you not show a replay of an infringement at that crucial time in the game. Especially when you've shown multiple replays all the way up there until then. Bit like the Burger foul at Ellis Park when he got high tackled and the SA producer showed it over and over and over and over...effectively winning us the game.
