JW sorry I cant guide you through the match but we have load shedding - ie no electircity. the anc were told seven years before the event exactly when SA would run out of electricty. Troubles began exactly then. Now we are have load shedding every day!
So the very hapless Bules are getting thumped by the hapless chiefies. As for me I am still annoyed by that rediculous loss by the Lions!! 65% possession and territory! Dominated ALL the stats apart from handling errors!
Go Blues lest we have blowhard chief fans boasting all week! Hahhahahahaha.Surely Sirs Graham and John learnt something after being schooled by MASTER Jake!

I detect some nerves setting in JW you are sounding edgy.At thsi ont in time its important chiefies try and paly well into the blues half. hang on there JW!We could have electricty in 19 minutes then the TV reboot. say 24 mins or so.
The real rugby fortunately begins this afternoon with the show point event being Mighty Stormers versus the wee bulle!

JW it is highly unlikely the Lions will shoot themselves in the foot again like this they lost the game the blowhard hurricanes never won it.
Well I cant comment re the Blues versus wee chiefies game and sorting out the facts from the propoganda provided by my friends JW and my friend brycy is not possible.Electricty is on and my TV is booting up.
Listening to the post match comments the chiefies scrum in second half was not good.
Campese says Blues not jelling. Thinks Sir john is not up to it. Sir J ohn feeling the heat

I may not be able to give my attention to the wee stormers but trust others will keep their rampant fans in check

....not sure why Nanai Williams missed the game but my Fantasy team took another goddam hit... but will be a totally different Chiefs side next week with Hosea Gear , Cruden , Retallick, Messam, Tamanivalu, Nanai Williams coming in so things can only get better for the Mighty Chiefs...note the Blues best player Ihaia West is straight out of the Chiefs development squad as well...is currently a big surplus of quality 10s though which bodes well for the future of NZ rugby...

I do not have a problem with load shedding - have my own son and wind electricity system - so I watched the game in full. The Chiefs started of with a bang - scoring 17 points through two tries and a penalty - against 3 from a penalty by the Blues.
Thereafter the game deteriorated into a scenario where the question is - which of the teams made the most mistakes - in other words - it became something boring and of not much interest.
The outstasnding player for the chiefs was Mackenzie - their young flyhalf. I saw him in the Under 20 WC - and he was outstanding. Today he was equally so and in fact the best of the three NZ flyhalfs on display this weekend. Wonder how long Cruden is going to last with him around?
SBW showed some good signs as well and I think Marshall and the two young wings had good games too. Nothing much to write home about for the rest of the two teams.

That's what I thought, I prefer the old version of fantasy rugby as you could see the results of your mates in a table so knew how we were all doing.
SBW scored me 44 points so far He had a decent game with some good passes/offloads that put players in the clear as usual.
14 Feb 2015, 11:17#33
...yup JW ,centres and fullbacks seem to accrue the most points...WTF I had Redelinghuys as prop for I have no idea as he wasn't even playing.. hoping the 4 Tahs players I selected will make up a few points for me tomorrow otherwise I will be playing catchup...
14 Feb 2015, 11:26#34
... Bean Brain lets hope yr team has a bit more life in it than yr laptop...if yr perennial underachieving team can beat the dozy Bulls this weekend then it will obviously be a cakewalk for the Canes next week at Loftus...

Brycy, I played twilight golf at St Andrews Golf course in Hamilton on Thursday night and the McKenzie boys and Brad Weber hit off in front of us. Damian hit his drive down the 1st into the stratosphere and me and my mates were gobsmacked! He's no bigger than me (1.75m) but could he smack a golf ball! I understand now how he is such a tough little hua who can run straight into a pack of forwards without fear.Blues were clueless tonight and never really threatened our goal line. Same old for the Blues fans.....

Moolaa: Chiefs keep finding & developing good talent. It amazing how they have built a solid club that challenges the likes of Crusaders. Good management and good coaching/player development and culture.
14 Feb 2015, 11:40#39
...yup Moolaa , Chiefs players are just naturally gifted sportsmen that no know fear...but read somewhere that Moala and Kaino were sick and in doubt for the game...I think next year they have Sevens sensation Reiko Ioane joining up so only a matter of time before the Blues are back to being a force given the emerging talent coming out of some of these Auckland schools..

Beeno: we are counting on the wee stormers to beat some of these wimpy SA teams (bulls, etc.). Stormers were helpful last year but do they have what it takes this year? As long as they are helping kiwi teams they have our full support
