Remember what was said at the start of the match to the effect that he was told when in SA he was too small to play at loosie.  Meyer, Ludeke and that stooge of theirs - Mozart - preferred the absolutely useless Alberts as loosie.   Meyer and Ludeke are now jobless because of their stupidity - and in his most recent post about Stander Mozart still indicated how really rugby-ignorant he is and always was .
I had Stander in both the Fantasy Games and in the case of Superbru made him my captain - wise choice I believe.

The level of rugby played by Ireland and Wales was very good - and to a slightly lower extent was the game between France and Italy.   Both games showed a level of the 15-man game required in modern rugby and is away from the "stampkar" model so admired by Meyer and Ludeke - as well as their stooges on this site,
The England - Scotland game was a farce and a waste of space to watch - matter of fact it was such a bore - I switched off the TV at half-time.   Eddie Jones has a mountain to climb before he would get any constructive rugby out of the English.
No wonder Meyer and Ludeke was both fired and we may be rid of the stampkat model for good.
Did you notice that Mozart was on the site - but he did not respond to this thread because he was caught out again - bearing in mind the BS he wrote last week in the thread where Stander's selection was discussed.

When Stander was at the Bulls he was told that he was too small to make an impact at international level. That contributed to the former SA U20 captain's decision to leave Pretoria for Munster, and three years and four months later he made his Test debut for his adopted nation. And what a debut it was. The blindside flanker came out firing against Wales in Dublin on Sunday, making 22 ball carries, including six in the first 12 minutes. He came close to scoring a first-half try, when he was held up over the line, and defended well when Wales were in the ascendency. I t came as no surprise when Stander was named Man of the Match and he's sure to play a vital role for Ireland in the rest of the Six Nations.

 He did have a good game  beside giving away a penalty for holding on but personally I would have chosen Jamie Roberts.

 Congrats to him. Nothing like being told you are surplus to requirements & then showing the idiot decision makers how wrong they were.
SA coaches have to see talent & be a little more flexible on how to use it.

Somebody buggered up here - I mean Meyer and Ludeke as such.   Stander is 1,89 meters tall and weighs 114 kgs.  But then Meyer and Ludeke is known for buggering up - so what else could one expect.
Marcell Coetzee is 1,91 meters tall and weigh 112 kgs - Francois Louw is 1,90 meters tall and weigh 115 kgs - so what makes Stander so small?

 CJ when at the Bulle was around 105 kg ?Seems to have bulked up?But of course we are loosing top talent overseas. 

We always knew his class. We always knew he was a massif loss to SA rugby ... like so many others.  Not sure where your getting your stats from Mike but the brilliant Stander is chalked up at 106kg currently.
He punches way about his weight as was shown over and over last night. 
I certainly hope he takes the Goats to task when next they meet.
Absolute class act.
We're gonna see a lot of him.
