Here's CJ Stander again....true, 19 times. Nineteen times he got the ball and passed it once! He also lost it twice. But in all those 19 runs he gained 14 painful  metres. As was the case last week he lost the ball metres from the opponents line.
And why was it the Irish couldn't get the ball in the last 20 minutes. Their flanks are absolutely toothless on the deck. CJ Stander must have had first grab at the ball 10 times again today.....he managed one strip in a tackle at the start of the half....none on the deck.

It's hard to see what this guy does better than 10 other South African flanks. Last week he was unknown, and hyped. Today it was obvious the French knew exactly what he was going to do.
We often hear flanks like Schalk play stampkar rugby. What are 19 runs straight into the first defender, with only one measly pass?

First of all you made a wild statement without saying who the alternative  SA loosies is that would keep Stander out of the SA ream.   One would assume that you refer to either of the following three and then you have to see what they actually poduce in games:-
*  Burger - a huge reputation, but not as hot as he used to be.  Cannot recover a ball if he is paid double to do it.  Ball carries highly suspect - since he loses ball possession in carries - the second try of the AB's in the semi stemmed from such a loss,   The four losses of ball possession in the Japanese game was a major reason of the loss in that game.   I would say compared to Stander probably a 50:50 choice.
*  Louw - more of a 7 than a six.   Played in patches when he he played for the Springboks - but probably a real loosie insofar as the Springbok team is concerned.  Definitely not a star performer - but passable.
*  Alberts - now here we have a serious case if a totally useless loosie - a really low work rate player with few ball carries making less ground than Stander and a total inability on the deck.   Huge liability in defense since he is too slow to be a loosie.   A total flop in all matches played.  Stander is 10 times the loosie Alberts ever was.
So why Burger and Louw may be passable - Alberts is not.  Of the lot Coetzee is by some distance the best SA loosie at this stage of his career, the rest are 50:50 cases, where Stander is on par or better than the three players mentioned.

Dont you get bored writing the same rubbish post after post. Repeating yourself ad nauseum. To compare this robotic player with Schalk is a travesty. But set Schalk aside, we produce this kind of player in droves...he is perhaps most like Deysel, but Deysel is much stronger physically.

We constantly bemoan our lack of fetching skills, the inability of our forwards to pass effectively....and then members on this Board go Gaga about a mid career player who has all those deficiencies, and isn't even potent in contact. This won't last long.

Don't you ever gets tired of the rubbish you dish up about players you dislike?  You are repetitive by constant attacks on players - the latest being Stander.  You make a ridiculous statement and when you get a measured response with examples you go bananas.
I never went gaga about Stander - I merely defended him against a vitriolic attack by you.  Your comparison with Deysel is an insult of the player.   You make a statement and I compared what he produced with what the Springboks in Meyer's WC squad produced.   What about useless Alberts - whom you constantly supported - the worst Springbok loosie ever?
Of course we bemoan our lack of fetching skills of players - we have very few loosies who are actually good fetchers - but when they are they were ignored by Meyer and you  who preferred lumbering oxen like Alberts.
Look lets face it - I would not hesitate to replace Louw and Burger with Stander - because Burger is in the twilight of his career and not the player he used to be and as for Louw - he always was a 50;50 case.  I would replace Alberts with Stander all the time - at least Stander is a l oosie - something Alberts never was.

All three of Alberts, Schalk and Louw are much more talented than bog ordinary Stander. Louw was excellent in the WC turning many balls, Stander has yet to make his first turnover on the deck. Schalk has a phenomenal sense of the game and Alberts beats more players in one run than Stander beat in 2 games.
Hell I'd even pick Coetzee ahead of Stander.

Alberts talented - I have heard it all,   What talents does he have?  The only talents I have seen for years now is he is fat, slow and lazy without any ability to perform 90% of the functions of a loosie.   Alberts beating more players in one run - go and swat stats and see when last he beat anybody in a run - never happened since 2012.  That is why his meter gain is less than any other international loosie.   he was a passenger on holiday in the WC and his unfitness and overweight is the cause of constant injuries.    You would rather have him - the rest of the country is not that foolish.
Burger was average during the WC - losing ball possession and causing turnovers in key matches.  Burger was a top class loosie at his prime - a player of world class.  However, at this stage he is not in his prime anymore.   In the WC he buggered up more than he achieved since he obviously is not a flyhalf - the position he actually tried to fill according to the Meyer game plan.
Louw was the only loosie that came through the WC with some credit - the rest was not.  However, Louw was good compared to the other SA loosies - against the loosies he came up against he was not that good.

Stander played for Ireland so he is out of SA Rugby so lets forget about that one.
No 8   Vermeulen, Van der Walt, Whiteley, Du Preez,
No 7   Labuschagne, Louw, plus 4 others playing for the Sharks, Stormers, and Lions
No 6   Coetzee. Kriel, Brussow
I left out Burger because he is not playing test rugby in future.  Louw is a blindsider - that is where he should play.

Oh what a load of utter rubbish. How fucking rugby ignorant are you Moffie?
CJ plays blindside you idiot....he is the go to for taking it up in traffic not an open field runner like your 8 or 6...Wake the fuck up....his stats are better than any other blindside in the 6N you dunce.
CJ is actually an 8 but Ireland have an incumbent in Heaslip there.
If you take the ball up that often in wet conditions of course you are going to lose it every so often.
What about his steal then when he ripped the ball off the opposition.
CJ had another good game....is far far better than Schalk or useless Alberts at 7....and is playing better rugby at 8 for Munster than Vermeulen is for Toulon.
You know fuck all about rugby evidenced by your interpretation of the stats of a blindside....Fuck me one would swear we were talking about a centre or wings stats.
You are utterly clueless
