I saw this in real time and checked it out today. In the phase before Hooper goes over he knocks the ball on trying to pick it up from the base.....the ref inadvertently is looking towards the backs.....no Stormer saw the little knock. Nor did the commentators.
But it's as clear as daylight. It should have been a Stormer scrum, but of course, who knows if Schreuder would have twigged he should clear the ball if his scrum is under pressure.

Mozart, yes I read the same, i.e. Hooper knocked it on. It happens but IMO the stormers deserved to win that game so it makes it worse in that circumstance. It's history now though.

Is there a more ungracious and sore loser in the entire world of sport than the Stormers/Western Province supporter?
When the Stompies lose (which is quite often), you'll never see a "well done" or a "congratulations" to the opposition, it's invariably a plaintive bleat about the cheating ref, the forward pass the ref missed, the knock-on nobod y else saw, a high-pitched whine about the yellow or red card that was unfairly shown to a Stompie player (or the card that should have been shown to the naughty opposition player) followed by incessant blubbering and lots of foot-stamping about how unfair life is and how the Stompies and their supporters are the poor misunderstood victims of the world.

We saw it a few weeks ago when the Sharks made the Stompies their squealing little b!tches for the umpteenth time and yet again when it was the Lions turn to humiliate the mincing Capetonian fops . . . so I suppose it's no big surprise that the little dears are all tearful and indignant again after the Waratahs beat them fair and square.
What an embarrassing bunch of little crybabies supporting a team of overrated losers!
Harden the heck up Stompies!

Wehe, that didn't last very long, did it Dense?
You gave us one of your "final goodbyes" about a week ago and here you are yapping away again. What have you been doing for the last week . . . refreshing the page every 10 minutes hoping to find someone asking you to stay?
LMAO!
I said at the time that we dare not hope this time it was for real . . . perhaps I should have set my sights a bit lower and hoped that when you did come slinking back maybe the quality of your posts might improve . . . but it's just another "yawn, you're all so boring" little shriek for attention.

Final goodbyes?? Wishful thinking...Sucker. But go ahead and point out the relevant post before I call you a liar. If I remember correctly the post had to do with my final comment on the late, Prince. I know you'd like to see the back of me, you've said so many times but hey...pop that "final goodbyes" ... I need a laugh.

"My final goodbye..."

Wow, that's a bit sudden Dense. Dare we hope this time you'll stick to your word?

As for your link, are you saying that Prince is so insignificant that he doesn't even merit his own tribute and he has to piggy-back on a 12 year old farewell to George Harrison?

. . . followed by a deathly silence.

And predictably, when the liar is exposed as a liar, he slinks away again hoping this latest embarrassment is quickly forgotten.

Denny's final goodbye to Prince is interpreted by AAS as his departure from the site....how stupid can you get. AAS stupid I guess.
As for the familiar rant about Stormers supporters. When the ref misses a simple knock to give the opposition the game, and nobody spots it on this Board but me.....I feel compelled to inform my fellow posters. No ranting, just a simple factual report.

Stormers could of & should have put the game away. They had their chances & all it took was a screw-up by the ref (and assistant refs) & the game was lost. IMO the stormers were the better team on the day & they were playing a man down but a win wasn't to be.
On the positive side it gave wee Beeno something to bleat about. I doubt it's enough for them to remove his straight jacket - fortunately for all concerned.

looked like a knock on, but missed by the officials.

another mistake from officials was the ruling on coles try from the lineout vs the lions it, was ruled as a forward pass but the replays showed it was perfectly legit.

And all that frenetic NZ rugby is inimical to my sense of order. Give me a nice rolling maul over a skipped pass  any day. So much more complex... channels, forces, rotation...Newtonian physics.

Ah you forget the up and under....a finely tuned athletic endeavor, requiring judgement of kicking force, gravity, pursuit, opposition deployment, the pesky 'mark' anomaly, and guts. Anybody can run, even tight forwards can pass, but it takes an artist to kick a good up and under.
