CleverMike, Fantasy Rugby - Do you have to change the settings?

When I check the other league I compete in (Auto league 1) the drop down menu lists 14 rounds and also the qrt finals, semi finals and finals.
Our league only shows up to round 13 in the drop down menu.
The rules in fantasy rugby state:
"Round 15: Default Head-to-Head Leagues Finals Series begin –but you can change this via your League Settings"

Do we have to change something in the settings for our league? If so you may have to do it as I believe you were the one to create the league.

 I am clueless about how to change the settings - any advice will be welcome!!!

CleverMike,  The help available on Foxsports center for fantasy rugby says:
"If you still have any question or queries please feel free to Contact Us and we will endeavour to get back to you within the next 48 hours".
SO if you click on Contact us they should be able to tell you how to do this or even if we have to do something.
 I suggest you ask the question like this:

Our league (RUCKERS FORUM 1) only shows up to round 13 in the drop down menu. Do I as creator of our league have to do something to ensure our league participates in all games during the regular season & in the subsequent games leading up to the finals?

I have a feeling when the league was setup, the option for "league final series" was set to off. You can see the options in the "create a league" link.
Mike - when you are on the league page, there should be an "about" link that takes you to league settings. I am unable to edit, but perhaps as the creator you are?
JW - can you compare the settings in the "about" field between our league and your auto league? Ours doesn't have anything about league final series in it.

There is a problem - we have 14 members that each compete against each other once - there is no other option available.   I think that is where the problem came in - there is no way I can change that scenario - since the League consequently only run until Round 13.
If we had less members and chose to have competitors to compete twice against each other that would have been different.   I can start a League now starting at Round 12 and if we have 10 members - it would run through on the same basis to round 17. 
I did not change the League Final settings - so it should apply as indicated above.

Comparing the settings of the two leagues the only difference is the league setting in our league is set to private in the auto league 1 it is set to public
I don't think this is the source of the problem.
I will write to the site and ask what we can do.

 The other problem I see has our league was set up as "head-to-head" rather than "open". 
Open means we would be competing based on points. I'm not sure if you change it now this will take effect & if so if it will wipe out our scores in head-to-head.
I will let you both know if I get an answer from the site administrators.

QUESTION

The scoring for the prizes seems to be based on highest amount of Fantasy points. Why does the round by round emphasize the head-to-head competition and not the "points for"?

The head-to-head involves more luck i.e. you have to score a lot of points but if you win depends on if you or your rival in the head-to-head happen to have a bad game on the particular week. I could score consistently low but just happen to beat my rival as he had a worse day. Whereas the overall points scored evens this out as it is over the whole comp.

Thanks for contacting us.

When you create a league, there are options for Open or Head to Head. Open means that the leader of the league will be the highest total scorer and you will not play head to head games. Head to head means you play against other teams and the leader of the league will be the one who wins the most games, as you seem to be playing.

Similarly to the real Super Rugby league, the best teams will end up on top of the ladder in the head to head leagues after the 17 rounds so this will solve your issue.

 Luke I think after Round 13 - we will actually end up as an open league.  At this stage I think that would be the case here.   

CleverMike, I wrote to the Foxsports admin & the said they will help if we send a screen shot of our settings. As I didn't create the league it would be unlikely they will change anything if I ask them. Could you send an email to them describing the problem and a screen shot of our settings. To contact them click on Help from the Foxsport super rugby page and you will see CONTACT, click on this and then you can enter your problem and include the print screen of the settings.

I would help with pleasure - but do not know how to get into the League settings as previously submitted so as to copy same and send to you for forwarding to Foxmail.   Can you help out please.     

 I suspect if ou Maaik changes the League Type to "Open" it will sort out the number of rounds issue.

Do you as captain not see something slightly different? I would guess you see a button called "captain" or "settings"?

I could not change anything.   However, there seems to be a problem - when I started Leagues in the past I always use the name "saruckersforum" and not the name used in this case.  I was late in joining up because I could initially not getting into the program/site.
Under the circumstances as far as I can remember I do not think I started the relevant league this year and only joined the League after it was started.

If we can't find the creator of the league we may not be able to change the settings to Open instead of head-to-head.
Ironic that many of us complained about the format of head-to-head & it's now clear that this was because of the way the settings were set not the fault of Foxsports.

Ou Maaik, remember when you and I had such problems registering? We each entered a team and then the whole thing broke so we had to register again?
Okay, now log out and try logging in again with your other team and see if you have the captaincy rights.
