Yep he looks to be improving. Played very well outside the scrum as well. Gets over the advanta ge line often and has a nice burst of pace. Tried a grubber as well. The man has skills!

They actually seemed to sort his scrumming on the YE tour, something they did in the 2013 YE as well. But he was lost in the S15 last year. So far so good in 2015.

Mozart
We are in desperate need of the Tighthead player - Jannie was no good in scrumming this week again. He was poor against the new Cheetahs prop - Mienie - and worse today against one of the poorest scrummers in the game Chadwick.
Am afraid like the physically - deficient Matfield - he is past it.

We have tightheads to burn, Koch and Malherbe played well on the weekend also.

Marcel v/d Merwe was very strong when he came on for the Bulls as well replacing Nyakane who was good at 3 as well.

I noticed a change in his set up to the scrum. His head is held higher

Koch has the best hands out of the lot, plays similar to the AB props with little passes and whatnot.

Koch is a great addition to the equation. Malherbe looked strong when he came on. Kitshoff has been good at 1.
But the player that is really impressing me is Ruan Botha at lock.

Didn't have the best of games against the Lions but against the Bulls and Blues he was very good, just proving that we don't need Matfield even more.
Kitshoff is playing better this season when compared to last, Gert Smal has worked wonders for the Stormers, even if it's just easing pressure off of Coetzee he's doing something right.

This is good to hear. Havent seen the game yet but will watch it. If Boks can have his work in general play without losing anything in the scrum it would be fantastic.
