Stats mean diddlysquat as a predictor of a result but nevertheless we all analyse them. Here are some comparative stats on the sharks and the Canes:
Tries:                 canes 39 (second in s18)  sharks not in top 15Clean breaks:    Canes 115 (3rd)  Sharks not listed
Carrries       :     Canes 1091 (first) Sharks not listedMeters gained:  Canes 4762 (first) Sharks not listedDefenders beaten: Canes 221 (3rd) Sharks not listedTackle success:      Canes 83.2% Sharks 86.6% Lineout success:   Canes 93.3% (first) sharks not in top 15Offloads:                Canes 98 (8th) sharks not in top 15Scrum success:      Canes 93% (3rd) sharks 88.0% 11thRucks success:      Canes 95% (6th) sharks 93% 12thYellow cards:         both teams have 2.
Sharks only lead in tackle success.
So according to these stats it should be an easy win for the Canes but I don't think this will be the case. I don't see how the sharks can win but if they can get their set piece working & keep the ball away from the Canes they have a shot. There is always the rolling maul strategy.
