While the mighty Stormers prove the CC was no fluke.....the Sharks are left to ponder the loss of Jake White. There is no way a White team would have blown this game.....but all those nasty comments directed at Jake from the banana boys is all crow now. Bon appetite!

And just how "stupid" is Coetzee now chaps? A good start for the Stormers....let's hope it's sustained over the weeks to come.

Coetzee is being guided by Smal. He has proved his stupidity season after season and as Bok backline coach.
Wee matfield outplayed by rookie locks. Hahahahhahahaha man when will Meyer and the matfiled groupies wake up.
I thought the Stor mers pack would be too much for this bulle pack.

Where is that guy Oosthuizen. Better lock than that pap ex England lock Botha. Stevens is also pap. The absence of Beast and Du Toit will be of great concern for the sharks.

 Mozart
Let me share your congratulations - but add some realities to the process.
The Sharks
*   Worst player of the day - both sides Jannie du Plessis (his scrumming was unbelievably poor and that against the unknown prop from the Cheetahs) and he did squat for the rest
*   Second on the absolutely poor list is Mohoje.
*   The Sharks front row crumbled, especially when Beast was replaced.
*    The Sharks center pairing is the worst I have seen in the past ten years.
*    Of the Sharks forwards Pieter-steph du Toit and Coetzee  were the only players that can be rated as haviung had a good game.
Jake White had nothing to do with the loss - it has more to do with his legacy.
The Bulls
*    Poor Matfield did squat - was maybe even worse than Jannie
*    The Bulls props are useless
*   Arno Botha went off early with a shoulder injury.
*   Labudschagane was the best loosie on the field of play - together with Du Plessis he was the only bulls forwards who did well enough.
*   Serfotnein was average - Engelbrecht down-right poor.

JW I'm glad you recognize my sporting tendencies. Notice when I say Sharks I don't use an adjective...in a South African rugby context, "Sharks" incorporates a silent adjective.

Did JJ and Step play? Matfield is pacing himself for the RWC. Step and JJ a centre partnership from the girl guides

Matfield has been pacing himself since his return to rugby. He was the worst lock on display of all the SA locks on the day.
Both Jan and JJ had solid games with limited opportunities. The only SA centre to sort of stand out was de Allende.

Matfield pacing himself - that is the joke of the week.   If he is - his pace is coming down every match he plays in.   Saffex is right about his assessment of the guy.   By the way he got a point of 4,5 on the  Supernbru Fantasy Lite competition - the lowest mark for a lock this weekend.   That  also confirms the fact that he was useless.

Imagine having a guy in your side pacing himself. What an insult to his team mates. There is no such thing. Matfield is just useless he days. His highlight was his few seconds playing centre.

I wish I'd seen this match now, I just didn't get the opportunity to record it and I meant to ! Would have been worth it to see the new Bulls Centre

JJ and Jan had limited opportunities.....tired, old excuses for two mediocre centres.

Other than a laughable excuse about Matfield "pacing himself" why don't you face up to the fact that Matfield was poor on Saturday?    He called only two line-outs to come to him in the whole match - his so-called line out supremacy has gone out of the window.  He was pushed aside by all and sundry and his tackling was a joke with a missed tackle ratio of 27,3%.   Besides that - the tackles he made was of sub-standard quality.
A very poor start to the Super 15 and not much better expected later in the series.   I think Ludeke will soon realize that all of Matfield, Kruger and Spies is sub-standard and replace them with performing players.
By the way Engelbrecht was poor and I think it would be better to move him to the wing and play Small-Smith at 13 and Jess Kriel at 15.   The present backline is just not functioning properly.

Talking about centers ... De Allende was awesome. Easily the best 12 in the country.

Should walk the Bok 12 jersey.

One would swear all the SA centres stood out this weekend, actually which S15 sides centres stood out in general - ZERO

de Allende was probably the best of the lot
