Since the series has been won - it looks like there will be substantial changes to the game on  Sunday.   The line-up may be as follows:-
Van WykRossouwDu PlessisDe VilliersDuminyMillerBehardien
ParnellPhilanderAbbottPhangiso
A mla has been given time off and will not play on Sunday.   AB will not keep wicket on Sunday.
The interesting news though is that De Kock is likely to be back for the match against the Windies next week.   According to Domingo he is fully recovered and the decision will rest with the medical staff.   It is likely that AB will not play next Wednesday, but that Amla will be back.

Complete waste of time playing v/Wyk given he is not in the WC squad......now if only the selection of the WC squad had been right then the following sides could have played the last 2 games. With Amla replacing AB and Morkel replacing Philander in the last game.

1. Rossouw 2. de Kock 3. v/Zyl 4. AB 5. Faf 6. Miller 7. JP 8. Parnell 9. Philander 10. Harmer 11. de Lange

 Dave
They do not want AB to keep wicket - hence the selection for one game only of Van Wyk.   I agree with you that some of the selections for the squad is rubbish and would have preferred Harmer and De Lange in the squad - but that will just not happen.

It just makes no sense playing a guy that is not involved in the WC.....so the v/Wyk selection is just plain dumb.

v/Zyl should have been in the squad as well. A technically good bat who looks to be nice and aggressive as well.....not to mention he can bowl as a part timer.

Berhardien ahead of v/Zyl is the height of stupidity as is Abbott ahead of de Lange and Phasingo ahead of Harmer

Neither do I - but they are not going to play Tahir, Steyn and Morkel again against the Windies - they even took Steyn off the field yesterday - when it became clear the Windies are having a batting implosion.

So snaspter why Phasingo ahead of Harmer, Behardien ahead of van ZylPhasingo doesnt look remotely in Harmers class as a spinner.  Wake up and smell the roses!

It really doesn't matter who they select in the current series, it's a dead rubber against an imploding team.
