Crusaders will win the NZ conference and Super Rugby title

and you read it here first.

Last week they dominated the Chiefs for 60 minutes untill a monumental mistake of the ref (call for a  non-existant knock-on and the subsequent scrum on the 22 line that brought to McKenzie's try) and some unfortunate laws (forcing to change the injured backrow sustitute by the scrumhalf sustitute) gave the Chiefs the advantage.

Today they have completely dominated the Blues for the whole match (a quite poor Blues, should be said). And both matches they played without Romano, Todd, Crotty, Fruean and Dagg.

Next week they have a bye and after it the injured players will begin to be fit to play (the lasts expected are Fruean and Dagg for the last days of march or the firsts of April). And then they will traduce their domination in more points

that's very diferent of what we've seen today.

I cannot recall them being so structured as a team at this stage of the season. These last years it took them at least 7-8 rounds.

They are giving some scrum masterclasses, today against a much heavier pack (872 Kg. against 931 Kg.). That's pure technique
and Moody is being impressive

I will give my opinion of the Crusaders after I watch the entire game, I only saw part of the first half.

 Neither of the two teams will win the comp.

My money's on the Crusaders .

 Brumbies or even the Jaguares.  Not a team who has scrum dominance in New Zealand - where scrumming is on  a pathetically low level of competence.   A better scrumming image will emerge once the Crusaders has played against teams outside New Zealand - where scrumming us of a competent nature.
Other than Nadolo that backline is a joke as well.          

 Jaguares were very disappointing against cheetahs,... they should have won easily but they won just by one and didn't deserve more.
Brumbies are peaking too early,..... teams have to peak in June not in February,...... they'll deflate throughout the season,..... and over the last years they've been unable to cause any problem to the saders

Mike thinks Fruaen didn't monster  Jordaan twice a few years back. With that kind of denial, it's easy for him to conclude the Sharks have a better backline.

What the hell has Jordaan got to do with this threat.  You cannot get over the Freuan story which happened three years ago and as far as I know Freuan unfortunately is not in the scene anymore due to his heart problems.
I look at what was thus far produced in Super Rugby and not one NZ team has thus far been able to get a try-scoring bonus point.  Some of the performances were poor and the games of the Cruisaders thus far was not what one would expect from a tournament winning side.

Crotty in a backline is just being getting to the less than adequate level.  He is a joke and a bad one at that.  I am not impressed and has never been with Ellis and Dagg is not the player he was in 2012 - he peaked early and has been declining ever since.
The Crusaders game against the Chiefs was a poor effort - yesterdays game was near to a sleeping tablet as can be imagined.  I did not see anything - bar the one run by Nadolo - that really impressed me and convinced me of the prowess of the Crusaders team in the tournament as a whole.
I thought the Blues were good in their victory over the Hurricanes - but that apparently showed only one thing and that is how bad the Hurricanes are after the loss of players like Smith and Nonu.   Their forward pack last year showed serious deficiencies and this year is even worse,  So what do we have here - a situation in NZ of really inadequate forward play and that makes the early prediction laughable.      
   

      

Well in about two hours time our Currie Cup champs will contest the first game in this year's Superugby between SA & NZ teams & I sincerely hope that my Superbru prediction earns me a big fat zero points .

Please stick to the truth - and that would help in this case.  Jordaan missed ONE tackle on Fruean, but tackled him 6 times during the same game as well.  We have been through this one and you admitted he only missed one tackle - now it is back to two.

The question in New Zealand should be - which team is the worst team, not which team is the best team?  After round 2 the NZ conference log is a mess - a serious mess.  

 With all due respect, bollocks, what I like about the NZ teams is that their talented players are evenly spread throughout all five of their teams ........ unlike SA & Australia where the lesser lights are easily identifiable .

 I just finished watching the saders vs blues game. 
Blues did ok as the score was 21-13 until the intercept try in the last minute of the game. When you look at the fact that they were on defence for most of the game. They need to reduce the penalties. Their scrum was dominated but the Saders have one of the best scrums in NZ so it won't be so bad for the Blues in that dept. going forward. Plus the Blues rotated the team. IMO the Blues coaches decided at the beginning of the season that this game was not one they could win easily so the rotation was probably planned.
Saders scrum looked fantastic & overall they are playing much better at this point of the season than in recent years. I won't go as far as to say they will win the comp but of the kiwi teams the Landers & saders are the most balanced & have a really good shot. The Canes & Chiefs have less balance but we will see what happens when Coles comes back for the Canes. Never count the Chiefs out either.

The problem is that the NZ sides have all got very good backlines with very average forwards.   The only teams from NZ who played outside teams - the Hurricanes and the Chiefs - lost their games.   The Hurricanes were disgraced - the Chiefs less so, but it must be borne in mind that they lost against a team that took 28 hours to get from Tokyo to Hamilton and the Chiefs had an at home team playing them.  
The internal contest between NZ teams is intense - but that is not what will ultimately determine who will get through to the final stages.   The NZ teams that does well against foreign teams will be in the run.  They will have to play 9 foreign teams each - some of those foreign teams  are very poor, but some very competitive.  I cannot with the evidence at present see them beating the Brumbies, Wallabies and some SA teams like the Lions and even Stormers - especially those they have to play away from home.    
So the test will be how the NZ teams do against teams outside of NZ.    

 CleverMike; NZ has proven they have the balance right overall ("average forwards", we showed in the RWC this is not the case, plus the S15 last year showed this). The mobile skilled forwards with fast very skilled backs has been a winning combination.
We have had player turnover this year with players retiring so we will see how the balance is this year. Too early t o tell.

 Everything comes to an end sometime or another. 
Nothing continues indefinitely ... and that goes for the New Zealand teams as well. 
Wankers like Kiss Ass think they'll simply continue where they left off ... with the rest of the world following from a distance. 
Eras come and eras go. 
The Goats too have had a change of personnel. From coaches to the elderly players that should have been sent out to pasture 5 years ago.
With a bit of proper thinking we too could enter an age of dominance.   
It is not a forgone conclusion that New Zealand rugby will rule the world once again at senior level.

Saders are always the best call but certain showings there is competition on...it's very early days...I like the Saders look in the NZ conference but have a gut feel for the Lions in SA...the Sharks seem that they can be there as well...the Jaguaures will get more refined and stronger even the Sunwolves will play a better game at the end...don't get too excited...the road is long and twisted in some parts so don't wet your panties!
The Brumbies look overpowering and awesome and will finish the Oz challenge... most folk don't like this format but I see some sense in expanding rugby .
