No particular logic, but some how  these players belong together joined by the super glue of history.

How do you manage to dream up this load of garbage?   You re onto your BS again trying to discredit players.  
Can you perhaps add a few others to the list:-
Morne Steyn  -  Braam van StraatenWillem Alberts - No comparison - the worst ever

Good analogy, Braam also had the bottle to knock them over from 45 metres to win a test. 

 But he mostly buggered up badly most of the time =-- just like Morne Steyn.  Useless in the extreme.

What  I find so amusing is every one of the players on the right had rabid support only a few years back.....Meisiekind, Verloorious, Russell, Burden, Watson, Spies.....those of us who disagreed were fools. And now nobody wants to touch them with a barge pole.

The same will happen to the players on the left in almost  all cases.

You can fool all of the people all of the time.

 Gosh you were  a huge Meisiekind,Verloorius, Watson, Spies, Burden, Julies....Rautenbach fan. How do you rate them now Dave....bwahahaha.

Olivier was a class centre, playing in the shadows of the best 12 SA has had to date in Jean......de Allende and Serfontein will probably go down as better by the time they reach 30 odd as their skill set is better than Jean's. Olivier was a good back-up to Jean which is exactly how I called it.....so I am not sure what your point is here.
I said very little about Pretorious as a player, good attacking 10, Butch James was better.
Watson was by far our best openside at the time, a far better 6 than Schalk ever was.....Schalk was never a 6. Watson had a fantastic skill set, similar to Skinstad.....great linking player. But the stupid fool had an agenda that achieved nothing.....thanks no doubt to his ignorant father.
Spies was awesome when he was at his best, but with time, we discovered he lacked the hard edge.....I was happy to concede that.......are you saying Arno Botha lacks the hard edge? What rubbish
Burden was a great U20 centre, some fool moved him to hooker after an injury
Julies was a good centre, never understood given his colour, why he never featured more at test level.....far better than de Jongh or your hero Adi Jacobs.....never good enough to be a Bok starter but good enough to feature in the squad.
I said very little about Rautenbach
Moz you fail to grasp the obvious.....you seem to think that because a certain player does not feature that somehow that is the measure of the player.....when in fact the issue lies with the coach for failing to select and invest in him......said coach would have a leg to stand on, omitting a certain player if that coach was a worthy one......hardly the case with the likes of Meyer and co, don' t you think.....unless of course you rated Meyer?

 Dave you think players don't realize their potential because there is a conspiracy against them. Watson is a classic example. But when Watson got into tests he was a nothing. I remember one of the AB loosies stuffing him back over the goal line with ease. He was too small, too weak, too impotent.
Great players make an undeniable case.

 Moz, I hear what you say about great players and your OP is actually frighteningly accurate, although meant mostly in jest....BUT it's almost a given that we will only have a few great players in a generation and never a whole Bok team of great players. Good players are bound to make up the numbers...and we might even find the odd gem amongst them. Some players tend to live for the big moments and comes into their own at top level. We will have to make do with what we have.

Moz, I assume that by comparing the Du Preez twins to Andre Ventre, you are actually saying the twins are good players? Because Venter was a fantastic player!  

 What utter rubbish there was very little wrong with Watson in his test stints....he was no better or worse than the players around him.
But more to the point you don't judge a player at the highest level after 2 or 3 tests...not to mention the non rugby related issues that related to his selection.
Watson purely as a player would have made a very good test 6...but childish Jake could not handle him.

 There are also some truth to what Dave said here.   Mozart has a list of players he intensely dislike and he has his favourites, who can never be faulted even if they bugger up badly - he glosses it over and carry on as if another player is to blame.  He also does not realize when his favourite players are passed it.   So he picks players he disliked in the past and put them as being replicated by players he dislikes at present. 
It is no surprise that none of his favourite players feature in his list mentioned above.  No Matfield who in his decline was poor and should never have played since 2014.     Mozart's dislike commences when any player is a threat to his favourites for springbok selection and  his dislike continues irrespective of how the player(s) performs at present.   But then - performance means nothing in Mozart's book so this type of story is always expected from him.     

 Actually Watson played for PDV and was dropped by PDV who had every motivation to call him a success.

 Draad/Bloo it is a little light hearted posting, but perhaps with a sting of the truth about it. As I said the players are paired for various reasons. 
For example Stephanie and Bekker have both promised to become established Boks on several occasions, only to be cut down by injury.
Mostert and Boome have both been fine Super rugby players, but at the international level they are both nixed by their small frames
Watson and Kriel have won player of the year awards, without being given the Bok stamp of approval.
Snyman and Geo Cronje both play lock for the Bools and both have serious beards.

As I said a bit of fun.

 Yes Moz, totally enjoyable and the jest makes the truth sting even more.
