Damian or Esterhuizen?

The thread started by your comrade in idiocy dealt with Esterhuizen being the new wonderkid and in the process he made such a balls-up that I asked him to make reasonable comparisons and he ran like the coward he is.

Now it is suddenly have to do with Clermont - who was apparently beaten by Montpellier.   Real idiocy who has an attack of hysteria about the thread on the WP - Puma match.   The WP team yesterday would have beaten the Montpellier team by at least 20 points. 

The fact si you are not onl hysterical - you are a totally rugby ignorant.  By th eay how did you manage to get Pakie and now AO to write falsified rugby incident myths n par with your4 Morzoscopes?????????      . 

Always remember oaks the best center display in recent years happened when two young centers Allende and Kriel out played their wee ab counter parts!  Both are better players today and both had good super seasons!

What exactly have pap Am and the uncreative Am done thus far.

As for Frans i was a fan for as long as i hoped the guy could get fit and really play. What a disappointment he has been after such an incredible start! He had i t all but it came to nothing.

So Duh Allende and Hi 5 Kriel are leap year centres?

People like to talk about Allende's offloading game but it looks like RG Snyman or JL du Preez have had more offloads.

Also Mike. Why is Esterhuizen a ball hog and Allende not?

Dimness is on parade in full swing,   First of all you two did not read what I wrote about your new hero - new because Mozart despised him in the past,

I credited Esterhuizen credited him with making the breaks and making the carries but -

*   queried the value of the carries with due regard to what happened to the ball subsequently; and

*   and described the situation where the passing and off-loading represents 36% of the total number of ball handling as ball hogging,

This was way over the head of you two - so try and think what followed  the ball carries and although thinking is in short supply in your case (prejudiced BS reigns supreme),

So then you admit that De Allende, with an average pass rate of only 30% across his entire test career, is also a ball hogger?

Easy one look at the numbe of ball handling cases in a game.  When he carried the ball 14 times and passed 6 times and off-loaded twice - it represents letting the players get 36% of his total exposure.  That means he made two good carries - but the other 12 were ineffective crashballing.  This guy reminds me more and more of Francois Steyn - who was the notorious ball hogger in 2014 and 2015.   .    

Damian's attacking game is a mess. His whole game is a mess. He looks like a guy who was too athletic for junior rugby opponents to deal with, but goes pro and is found wanting. I look at his game and I wouldn't know where to start to fix it all. His rugby IQ is so poor that the question is clear, is it worth bothering? I don't think so. He needs far too much work. Ball protection, running lines, footwork, alignment and reading of play, it's awful. What use is a 12 if he can't stop you head-on or carry the ball up? Nobody can actually play off him, it's too frantic and messy. 

Clever Mike questions the effect of Esterhuizen's carries, quite plainly, he got over the advantage line with authority and provided quick, clean ball. No nonsense. I loved the way he smashed a couple of Pumas out of the way. You don't see Damian ever play like Esterhuizen did. There was one run where Esterhuizen attacked the edge defender, he masterfully offloaded to a runner putting him in space. It's that awareness of what is happening around him. His body positioning and timing. All these little nuances are very good. His distribution is much better than that of Damian. Anyone can pop a ball out, but can someone use the ability as a weapon? Damian can't. Sonny Bill could. So too Frans and Esterhuizen. Clever Mike couldn't be more tragically wrong. 

Is he going to tear New Zealand apart? Probably not, but he is a weapon to be used. His game is improving, as he has shown a willingness to not only expand his mind culturally but learn how to become more effective. He has a lot of potential. Even in a losing effort against Wales he was very good. He had Jantjies and Kriel around him and still played well, no mean feat! Why we should discard a player who has shown value for someone who is a proven failure, a failure who hasn't developed in five years, is beyond comprehension. This kind of dishonesty is what irks me.

Clever Mike can't refute anything I have said about Damian. Yet he still calls me the idiot, and a liar. I chose Damian's best test to give his fans the best opportunity to defend him. I chose his best test to see what I could learn. As it stands, we learn that Damian is nothing new. If we start him against Australia, we are going to have big problems. New Zealand didn't hone in on him, Australia did, and they always prosper.  

Another baiting Maaik thread...and he will respond in kind...probably already has. Shit, Meyer and Rassie must both be total idiots, they have both picked players that everyone could see were not test material.  The bloody Rassie will probably pick a few duds again. I think I should rather start watching ballet. 

Ballet would be more cultured than watching Damian give grown men shoulder rubs or worse, pole dancing!

And on that front stay Mariinsky. Lopatkina being a high point.
