Dan Carter beats Usain Bolt, Novak Djokovic, Jordan Spieth and Serena Williams etc to be named 2015 Sports personality of the Year

...says it all really..beats a whole raft of international sporting superstars..

The Racing 92 first five-eighth was crowned World Rugby player of the year after helping New Zealand retain the World Cup in October.

"I'm thrilled to have been voted BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year by the UK public," Carter said.

"It's been an incredible year for me on British soil and the support has been phenomenal.

"It was an incredibly competitive shortlist and I'm honoured to have been recognised alongside these great sportsmen and women from around the world," he said

The world record point-scorer landed 19 points in the Rugby World Cup final against Australia in his final Test before taking up a French club contract.

 Pretty groovy that .Well deserved too .

It's the first time the lad's managed to stay healthy during a world cup ... probably would have won the title a few years back had he managed it.

 A couple of good games in the season and he gets it. One can only wonder what these guys were smoking.Bob Serena is a possibility - I think Novak Djokovic. Both out performed wee Dan bya country mile. The whole thing is rediculous. Novaks for in the majors, ATP 1000 World fianls etc etc was sublime. This is simply no comparison he was so much more worthy than wee Dan. Another miscarriage.

 Of course you would stop drooling over pictures of  slap headed trumpet long enough to put down the greatest point scorer RWC final MOM and player of the year Dan Carter eh imbecile ? 

 warped DUD a couple of good games doesnt equate to the excellence shown by Novak over an entire year. Carter didnt even play the entire year and looked pretty average most of the time.Wakey wakey dopey you are ranting again. 
It is frankly absured that wee dan got the nod and any sobre consideration would necessarily lead to the same conclusion as mine. I watched Carter play this season and watch Novak. Novak towers above Carter as an elephant towers abouve a mouse.

 warped DUD none of the other candidates were part of the British colonies so the BBC hunted for somebody to award the prize to. carter was poor most of the year and had acouple of good games towards the end of the RWC. His getting this prize was absurd.The abs only managed to beat the stuttering Boks because of biased reffing re the matfiled incident as Moz pointed out so well.. Oz won against the Scots again due to ou Craig Joubert. The two finalists should never have been in the final!!
