Justin Biltong is going to be the stand-in captain for the final dead rubber T20 game. Apparently Faf is being rested.

I would think he's lucky to make the side let alone being Captain.

It has to be the funniest bit of cricket news this year.

I read that too - and just burst out laughing.   To take it seriously would not be worthwhile.

Yeah had to laugh when I read that. Wonder is clueless Hudson and co actually know what they are doing.

On a positive note I see a young 22 year old bat, de Bryn I think his name is has just made over 200 not out against the England A (Lions) side, which has a few players that have played Tests for England including Trott who has scored big as well.

It's just a matter of time before the clueless rise to the surface and Hudson has, so has the coach.

Ontong has never been better than club level, forget the name, it was Jacques ??? who was selected, then dropped the next day to make way for Ontong. Still today the clowns can't tell the wood from the trees...he is useless.

It really pisses me off bigtime.....pardon me when I say, Hudson is a fair dinkum Doos.

Yeah how on earth you can begin to justify the selection of Ontong aged 35, when he has flopped throughout his career.

Some of the selections make Meyer look like he knows what he is doing.....Berhardien, v/Wyk a 35 year old keeper, who moves like an old man behind the stumps, both Petersens, Phangiso, Bavuma ahead of Rossouw or Miller, Wiese, McLaren

I saw him playing a couple of times in the shorter versions of the game - he is really good.   One for the future.

The kid I thought might make it was Colin Ackerman who had an unbelievable school record and looked great for the SA U19 side a few years ago. He went to Grey High in PE I think.......but I see he has not achieved much

He is 23 now and plays for EP, whatever they are called now. Has a 1st class average of 39.

They said he was the new Barry Richards as a school boy.....has not quite happened.
