More evidence.....de Kock can’t play movement. The bat is shoved towards the ball. Today a first ball dismissal the result. Meanwhile Amla’s iron wrists allow him to make the necessary adjustments.

No - Amla started off batting looking like a hare in the headlights and was lucky since the Indians made mistakes by missing two catches and then went on to make a good score. He missed (as happened too often) a catch standing at slip when Maharaj was on.
However, unlike you I do not comment on every often imaginary mistakes made by players and definitely does not start threads based on a lie - like happened in this case..

Amla started the first innings like a hare in headlights = but as a result of two missed catches by the Indians he survived to play a good innings.
He started the same way in the second innings and was out virtually immediately. Bad news at present.
By the way I was the first person who mentioned Aidan Markram as a potential test player. Why did you not attack him subsequently .

By the way before the start of the second innings Graeme Smith said that the Proteas would be 20 for 2 - wonder whom in the batting line-up would Smith helieve would fail? I think Amla is one and that Elgar was to be the other.

Actually I think Flash mentioned Markram first.....but his dismissal today was a carbon copy of Amla’s. Yet you describe Amla as a ‘hare’.....hahahaha... in the headlights and never note Markram’s dismissal.

No - I mentioned Markram before the English test series to start ahead of Cook and co. Flash wrote about him later on.
As to Amla he played twelve innings against the English and the Indians nd scored 380 runs for an average of 31,8 - which is way below his average performance in tests. In the proves he had
* 4 good innings
* 2 below par innings
* 6 poor innings
In the last of his good innings he started off so poorly he had 1 run after facing 20 balls nd the Indians missed two catches. which if taken would have meant another poor performance, Something is amiss with Amla - I think his eye-hand co-ordination is slipping amd he m,ay be on the way down. Age is not on his side.
De Kock is going through a batting slump - but hehas a long career ahead of him and will get over it.
