Disrespectful SA supporters

I didn't know there was a sequel to Once Were Warriors to be honest. Not sure how the first film/book possibly lends itself to a sequel. Where could the story go . . . or is it just more heavy drinking and wife-beating? How many more family members could Jake the Muss beat up or drive to suicide?

My favourite Kiwi movie was Whale Rider. Whatever became of the young girl who acted in that?
