This would be a huge blow to the Sharks and the Boks.

Are the Cell C Sharks’ newest stars – the Du Preez twins Dan and Jean-Luc – on the verge of signing a massive deal with French mega-club Toulon?

A report in the French newspaper La Provence has linked the duo to the overhaul planned of the former European champions by its flamboyant millionaire owner Mourad Boudjellal at the end of the season.

Boudjellal is known for spending loads of cash to get the players he wants, including in recent times Springbok no8 Duane Vermeulen among others.

But while the Du Preez twins are currently heading home from Argentina where they helped with a narrow win over the Jaguares in their latest Vodacom Super Rugby match, the speculation continues to grow about both of them heading to France at such a young space in their careers.

Boudjellal has already signed on Springbok tighthead Marcel van der Merwe for the season with Japanese fullback Ayumu Goromaru, Wallaby flanker Liam Gill and flyhalf Francois Trinh-Duc being added to the already impressive roster that features Bryan Habana, Australians James O’Connor, Drew Mitchell and Matt Giteau and Welshman Leigh Halfpenny. All Black Ma’a Nonu is also on their books.

While the Sharks have not commented yet on the possibility of the duo heading overseas, it is sure that with their father Robert as part of the coaching team, they will fight tooth and nail to keep them in South Africa.

Sickening really. But money rules.

I think the twins are on contract with the Sharks for another two years and the French will have to offer an independent fortune to get them - both in damages to the Sharks as well.
However, according to Mozart - Deysel is better than them and he called them "dumb muscle" recently.   So Toulon must really ask him for his valuable advice before they offer the twins contracts.   He would recommend Deysel to them and our problem will be solved.

Where there is smoke, there's fire.
World Rugby is the only ones that can put a stop to this. Require a period of dosmetic rugby participation before being a free agent available to overseas clubs.
Either that, or as Ceradyne points out that like football just accept that this is the professional era and will continue unabated. South Africa and the PI surely the biggest losers in all of this.

Not a huge loss, we produce this type of player in droves. Perhaps a stint up north wil improve their handling.

I rate the twins highly. I wouldnt even mind them having a few tests this year.Big mobile and with a high work ethic. They are going to be very good indeed.Dr Moz just being contrarian but unwisely!

Be useful if they could catch the ball though. My sense is fans fail to recognize there are two of these ball droppers....so they give one du Preez credit for both players efforts.

Huge loss, great talents these two.....both physical freaks who boss the opposition in the physical exchanges......their hands are fine as we have witnessed from the odd good touch......yes there has been the odd spill, who cares....but imagine being stupid enough to define them by the odd spilt ball thanks to technique issues and say that we produce so many of the same.....typical ignorance.....lets continue to find fault in our players even when they stand out as 20 year olds, who at such a young age have attracted the likes of the richest rugby club in the game......yeah because this club targets crap 20 year olds
There is a pattern here.....CJ Stander is bog ordinary....the same guy who won Munster player of the year, MOM on test debut and Ireland player of the year....but of course he is crap
SA player of the year in Lood is crap
The du Preez twins are crap.....because hey ho they have spilt the odd ball......fuck the fact that they have dominated the physical battles

CJ Stumpkar and the du Preez twins Dave's standard bearers for less programmed more skilled rugby. Funny stuff from the Porker who used to be a huge, monster Jacques Cronje fan.
You can't make up this stuff!

At least I am not stupid and ignorant enough to make a call on a player that has just won Irish player of the year and been selected as the best in his position in the 6N....says alot about you does it not......but of course in your little world you are right and the rest of the world is wrong
You are a fucking joke old timer
Who the fuck is Jacques Cronje

Not  a huge loss according to Mozart.   So why does Toulon wants them?   Can you never get real on issues, or do you always pretend to know better about rugby then anybody else.

And that's the rugby we want to play? Look Mong the Irish hardly beat the Scots, they were awful. Stumpkar was one dimensional....and when he came up against the Pom Fattie, zero dimensional.

Moffie you are so fucking rugby ignorant you dont even know what a blindside does in NH conditions.....it is completely beyond you that CJ was used to carry the ball up in traffic to set up phases....the go to guy......the role of a blindside you ignorant prick.
Are you saying Robshaw his opposite number for England out played him in that test.....hey Moffie, is that what you are saying?
Look here you ignorant fool.....never have you been more embarrassed by a player....telling us how crap he is....only for him to win Munster player of the year, Irelands player of the year, best player in his position in the 6N and a MOM.....all in the same year....and you have us believe he is crap.
Do you actually even begin to comprehend how fucking stupid you look.....but I love it......it serves only to re-enforce your stupidity and my hold over you
Keep telling us how crap the likes of CJ, Kriel, de Allende, Serfontein, Jantjies, Faf, Marcel, Malherebe, Lood, PSDT, du Preez twins, Jaco Kriel, Coetzee etc are.....keep up the good work
Hows de Jongh working out for you....or Schalk for that matter? You always get the calls spot on

The only guy who looks stupid here is you Fattex, partly because you have a sort of bovine look about you, no offence to the cow. And partly because both club championships this weekend were won by structured rugby....and oops one was won by Jake White. How stupid does that make you look.

In the meantime, there is zero success you can report either for your picks or your strategies. Let me mention a few......Kirchner, Mvovo, JJ, Swiel, Werner, Quince, Luke Watson.....Pierre Spies. All of whom you were dead sure we're going to rule the game.

The only difference between those players and your current sweethearts are they have had time to fail.

Best you just close your maw.

When I watched the Sharks game against the Jaguares I finally relize how dismal Jannie du Plessis's scrumming really was.  Whenever we played Argentina he went backwards with the speed of a jet plane.  And then there was the post-retirement Matfield and the never-has-been Alberts and the bench player Morne Steyn and the biggest failure in Super Rugby for the period 2013 to 2015 Fat Fransie and the useless De Jongh who was the only player ever to go AWOL in a test match.
You are a good one to point fingers at others - the worst failures ever is on your plate.
You do not look stupid anymore - you are just moronic and an absolute rugby-illiterate.

Ah Moffie is this your best shot......at least I am not 70ish with little left in the tank......I'll live with my good looks and still being in my 40's
I'm glad you find favour in insignificant NH competitions....I for one set my standards by the attacking displays of the Canes, Chiefs, Sader, Highlanders, Brumbies, Tahs, Lions, Bulls, Stormers and Sharks
Yeah Jake secures to services of 3 young SA stars in Willemse, Jacques du Plessis (who of course you never rated, shock, shock) and Catrakillis......along with my Bok starting hooker in Bismark.
But you stick to Jake as the measure
Ah more lies......what exactly did I say about Quinn Roux, Swiel and in particular Werner......fuck me Moffie is this really your best shot?
Its so boring......why did you forget Olivier, Pretorious, Murray, Rautenbach you stupid prick?

Oh sure Matfield consensus pick in many all time great teams.
Frans in the match against Harlequins according to SARugby mag...'Frans Steyn had a big influence at inside centre.'
Morne winner of the Lions series
And de Jongh who now captains the Stormers.
And you picked Swiel, Esterhozen and Jordaan. Who have done what exactly? Best shut yup Michaela.

Nope I just quoted the Harlequins match, your post logically was responding to that....if you leaped to some other match, that's your problem.

Mozart aka Dofdoos 1
This idiot is always trying to escape from issues by diverting attention elsewhere.   From the Du Preez twins discussion - where he as per normal made an utter fool of himself calling them dumb muscle and saying Jean Deysel is a better player than they are - he is now with the whole lot of backline players.
Always an admirer of Fat Fransie the now states that he "had a big influence" in the second level European Challenge Cup tournament.   Unlike in the Super Rugby tournaments - where he was a farce for three years running - he broke a few tackles in that game - but still made no real distance in ball carries.  However, that is enough for Mozart to write an unbelievable praise song on Fat Fransie.

They certainly hit the scene with a bang ... but as time moved on it's turned more into a whimper.
I was hoping for something special ... seems I should look elsewhere for that Andre Venter type.
