"Etzebeth is not a flanker, never will be,.... and is too late to change kolbe to the scrummie position,.... scrummie is the most specific position in rugby,.... you need to play there since young to learn the game,..."
Exactly right. Eben Etzebeth is too ungainly and lacking in pace and ball skills to ever be considered as a loose forward while if Cheslin Kolbe ever wanted to be an international scrumhalf then he should have made the switch many years ago.
Pieter Steph can perform a dual role as a loose forward at a push because he has good pace and ball skills but he's first and foremost a lock. Either of the Du Preez twins or Philip van der Walt or even Oupa Mohoje is a better option for a big strong loose for ward rather than Pieter-Steph. The idea of donkey Etzebeth as a loosie is just plain laughable!

Oh and ABasque, congrats on an excellent Fantasy performance this week. Wish I'd had the foresight to pick George Bridge and/or Richie Mo'unga this round . Well done on giving the American Secretaries a right royal rogering this week!

139 out of over 10 000! Mr Kellogg's obviously can't do the basic math. 139 is nothing to be ashamed of and higher than you could ever achieve . . . hence my bet which you chickened out of.
Stay down Moffie. Know when you're beaten.

thanx, rooi,.... still provisional numbers but seems I'm going dto have a good round

George Bridge with his 2 consecutive hat-tricks is probably the "revelation" player of the season,.... had him since the beginning,.... expecting a good performance from him and a good increase in price (since he was the cheapest it could be at $112K) but not such an excellent one,.... he has adapted so quickly and is playing so outstandingly that he's the inform scoring player atm and tomorrow he'll probably reach the $500K
Havili is al so playing very well,.... and I didn't expect this at all,.... last year he was so piss poor in defense (true he was very young and inexperienced and had to play alongside Fonotia at the centers who is a disaster defensively),.... still don't trust on him to play against the NZ sides,..... prefer to have Dagg back there for the decisve games against the canes and chiefs and later the landers

Yes, I know you're not the world's biggest David Havili fan but even you have to admit he's showing some good form.
I had Seta Tamanivalu in my team. Talk about choosing the wrong winger . . . but he is listed as a centre which is why I had him . . . and he still scored okkay so I shouldn't grumble too much. Still, Bridge was the one to be on!
I was really pissed off last night. I'd chosen Ramiro Moyano as one of my outside backs and he was having a great game . . . beating loads of defenders and assisting for at least one try . . . next thing I know he's subbed after just 30 odd minutes and probably injured. Could have scored me a truckload of points, instead I'm probably going to have to sell him! Also thought Ezcurra could have scored better.
Maybe the Tuesday adjustments will be in my favour . . . but not enough to turn around the thrashing you gave me this round!

also too much bad luck this season with injuries,.... this week I picked Read and he had to left the game before halftime and I'm now reading he's in doubt for the opener against the B&I Lions,... so he's out for a while and will have to use one trade to transfer him,... again

this is worrying for the AB,... both Kaino and Read are in doubt,.... if they cannot play the first game, it will be a great loss,.....
Squire seems far from his best but there's no other option,..... I would play with him and Taufua as blindside,.... but the coach seems reluctant to give him an opportunity in spite of being the inform blindside of the SR comp for the second year,.... he will probably choose Luatua (or even Dixon) before him

Well I'd say 1 in 400 is better than 139 in 10000....especially when all the 400 turn up and are smart people. Can you work the numbers or shall I explain? How low will you go this week, do keep us posted. .. LMAOFY!

Ab ASS Kolbe has played scumhalf in the sevens side. has a great long pass etc. educated boot and amazing break. A born scrummie. You of course are far to ignorant to see thatEtzebeth is a great deal quicker than Alberts and a much harder worker. Naturally kbbs would not support any suggestions that would improve the Boks as would turncoats rooitwitterbug and that total louse wee cc. These twits should be deporte d to nz forthwith.
Unfortunately dumbasses like wee cc and ou rooitwitterbug are mamparas like coaches such as Coetzee and PDV. Lacking any rugby acumen or understanding and having no vision at all. It all dumb rugby with them.

No question it's a blow to the All Blacks losing both Jerome Kaino and Kieran Read.
If I was All Black selector then my loose forward trio would be out of Akira Ioane and Whetu Douglas at #8; Ardie Savea or Sam Cane at #7 and Brad Shields, Elliott Dixon or Liam Squire at #6. Agree that Steven Luatua might make it but on current form he wouldn't be on my radar. Jordan Taufua plays with a lot of energy but I'm not convinced he's All Black quality.
The other option would be to play both Sam Cane and Ardie Savea with Ardie at #8.

Baboon-ou, do you have something to add to this discussion or are you just hopping up and down hoping to get some attention for once in your sad and truly pathetic life?

"Kolbe has played scumhalf in the sevens side"

the sevens scrumhalf position has very little in common with the XV's scrumhalf,.... completely different business,..... Kolbe could be a "born scrummie" but it's too late for him

ABasque, you'll have to excuse Baboon-ou. His rugby "knowledge" is a combination of Stompies Blowhard hype from the hopelessly biased Cape Town media and repeating what his equally ignorant master Moffie says.
A weak and stupi d Gimp who believes the garbage that the mass media churns out.

Actually, just to disprove the point, I have always said the same thing as Basque....it's too late for Kolbe at 9. So Hasbeen is clearly not repeating my point.

  rooi,

Douglas could have been a good option to replace Read (as he has been for the saders) but I think he's not avalaible since he's contracted with an italian team and he's already gone there

Akira Ioane has enormous potential but probably too soon for him,.... he's quite inexperienced yet at SR level and he's not showing the superiority he showed at NPC level the last 2 seasons (or in sevens)

IMO Taufua is far better than both Dixon and Shields,..... seems that he's rejected because of his height (1.85 m.) but I think it's a mistake, a big mistake,.... yeah, nowadays the blindsides are around 1.90-95 m. but Taufua compensate his height with his strength,.... very few players can match his physicality,.... he charge as a f*cking bull,... IMO he's deserving at least an opportunity to show if he's up to test level

Won't argue Taufua has earned the right to challenge for the place, just don't think he'll be afforded the chance . . . mainly because he's on the small side.
If anything I think the AB selectors would pick Ardie or Cane at #6 and play Matt Todd at #7 . . . but I still think it'll be a combo of Akira Ioane, Ardie Savea and Sam Cane . . . in whatever positions.

Bwahahhahahahaha how does anybody get as wrong as rooitwit.By the way Mallet has also said kolbe would make a great scrummie. Beeno mentioned this point years ago and more than once. As always Beeno well ahead of the plodders here.

Breath mints please Baboon-ou.
No-one likes an arselicker but it's even worse when that arselicker has his mouth wide open and talks non stop. The least you can do is take a breath mint . . . or two!
Pheeew!
