CC, did your wife smack you again this morning.......?
Why else would you be in such a hostile mood......
Ed, please can you look into this request from our fellow poster CC, I don't like seeing his blood pressure escalate to this alarming height so early in the morning

 Ed
The spam posters have used this site to flood it with illegal advertisements - but that seems not to satisfy them - they now post it under rugby discussions as well,   Please do us all a favour and clear up the site from postings from those mongols.

i again CleanCut

Thank you, we are awake now.

If you visited the site as regularly Saffex, Beeno and Mozart, you'd notice that we do remove spam on a daily basis.
Now as the spam is being generated by a human being and not a machine, it makes it incredibly difficult to auto remove the posts.
The spam also originates from varying IP addresses making it impossible to block the IP range.
We are fully aware of the issue and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We are working on measures to automate the removal of the spam.

If you have any constructive feedback or ideas, please feel free to pass them on.

Once again, apologies for the disturbance. You can now place your head back in to your bum and go back to sleep , until next time.

Yours in rugga

Ed any way you can automatically remove a string with the word 'passport' or 'driver's license' in the heading...that should mostly cover it, methinks.

I'm worried about this automated removal of Spam

There would be plenty of CC's posts disappear before we even get to see them

Hi Ed, if you are indeed in a state of wakefulness, any chance you can reply to my e-mails regarding the mythical replica jersey that I allegedly won in the Superbru RWC comp?

Tell me Ed ... did you become the editor of this forum through legit means or are you just another quota pick??
Reason I ask is your apparent competency levels ... it seems you need others to help you with your daily tasks.

Now I know it's difficult to tear yourself away from your busy schedule so I would like to make a suggestion.
Why not appoint a member (regular poster) on this board to manage it's day to day intricacies?
Someone who actually cares aboard the board and it's members. Someone who has time on their hands and a passion for it and us ... a person who would actually deliver on their promises ... like the rugby jersey you owe Redneck ... among others.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why haven't you sorted this out yet? It sounds as if several enquiring emails were sent to you ... and by reading between the lines, all have been ignored.
What the hell's going on Ed??????
Are you a liar or is it merely a matter of not giving a damn??

Must say Ed ... I'm rather disappointed in you.
Any way ... regarding the appointment ... think of all the time you could remain comfortably seated on your thumb ... no more pesky CleanCut snapping at your heals, asking silly questions about how his avatar pic was changed and what your going to do about it.

You could pursue other avenues and no longer feel obligated to pop in here once a week.
Any way, think on it.
Oh and by the way ... turns out I'm not the one with his head up his "bum" after all ... isn't that so ... Ed??

Really??
Of course you'd say that, JW.
Your a kiss ass!!!
We were told awhile back that all kinds of interesting changes would be made to this board. Changes that would take us to the next level. Be the envy of other sites across the globe ... or so I thought.
Things like having an ability to speak to each other privately. It's a standard feature everywhere else. Something that's taken for granted by most elsewhere.
Did that happen?
No. It's just another unfulfilled promise.
What we got in it's place is this stupid "like it" icon stuck in the corner which no one uses.
Whoop de friggin dooooo!!!! That's really an exciting feature, Ed!!! You've really outdid yourself. We're so proud of it.
We were told that the winner of last years super bru comp could pick any jersey from across the globe and a replica of it would be his reward.
That too was something Ed had no intention of honouring. He's all mouth!!
We have to practically beg him to clean up this site. Repeatedly. Let's face it he really is useless and I've grown accustomed to his management style. The don't give a fcuk style. We all have.
If he wants to run his board that way, then fine ... but then he should rather shut his pie hole and not make empty promises.
Leave this  site as is ... a mere chat room ... at entry level ... without anything special about it ... other than the people who post here.
It's probably a little difficult for you to grasp this JW ... but no matter ... you just keep those lips puckered, brother!!
It suits you.

CC: not sure why so many blokes have this fascination with asses. They want to kick them one minute, then go on about puckering up the next. Then there's dumb asses, smart-asses, fat-asses, lazy-asses, the list goes on. All very American but sounds suspicious to me
Yes, we have been promised improvements in the site that have not materialized & yes there are problems some problems with apple devices and the site is clunky at sometimes. But going on to insult the Administrator & revealing your obsession with asses is a curious reaction to say the least. If it gets results then Trumpish buffoonery and boorish behavior wins out over politeness & the end justifies the means - I guess. To each his own.

 Uncalled for CC.
If you dont like it, dont use it.
Simple as that.

I'm sure you are decent good guy, but mate you come across as totally bombastic.

Did you notice that the spam that appeared when you posted this was gone within an hour of your post???

If Ed left this site up to you or one of the board members, it would go to trash.
I say one last time, if you dont like it dont use it. You are under no obligation.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but this site does not operate as a business but as a user / owner driven passion for rugby.

I have met Ed. He is a fantastic guy and a very knowledgeable (rugby wise) and tech savvy guy and puts up with a lot of crap from you, but takes it on the chin and does what he feels is best for the board. He doesn't interfere much with us because that isnt what he stands for.

Why not ask your questesion / request in a normal manner? If we read through your requests, your posts are littered with unnecessary insults from the get-go.
I know Beeno, Moz and Saffex had asked for updates / changes in years gone by which have been put in place. Maybe you should try ask / request for your update as any normal person using this site, realizing that they are here because they want to be here and are not forced to be here, would have asked.

Anyway, each to their own.

Have a delightful Valentines and may your other half spoil your ass rotten.
x

In my not so humble opinion Pm's cause more harm than good so I'm glad ED has decided against having it installed. To say that PM's are a standard feature on other sites is BS.......of all the rugby forums out there I know of only one that has it.
Your approach CC is way out of line, the owner deserves a bit more respect than what you offer. No-one here has the right to take advantage of the fact that he provides a free service for a thankless job.
Now go ahead and call me an A.rse Licker!

Yeah CC, I am gonna join the common sentiment on the thread here and say that you were a bit harsh on the Ed. That said, the fact that you are not the politically correct buddy buddy type is what makes you interesting and unpredictable. That is the value you add, and I am pretty sure the Ed sees you the same way. All respect to the ED though for not being petty, like so many others in his position are, and kicking you.
