5 - Patrick Tuipulotu (Blues): Was a tower of strength for the Blues, worked hard in the line-outs and was effective around the park.

Bubbling under: Victor Matfield (Bulls)    Waaaaaaaaaaaahhahahaha.....oops I thought Dave said it was Stefanie

When you disregard the judgement of the ratings one week then support them the next it makes it rather off putting to debate with you.

Actually I have no regard at all for the ratings, it's just another data point. I can't find one.....not one ....professional rugby commentator who thinks Steff outplayed Victor. Only posters on this site protecting their ingoing biases.

None of the people you've used as examples are truly experts, just journalists/fans that know no more/less than us.

I want to agree with Dave here - what exactly did Matfield do during that game?
I will make it easy for you and repeat his stats and that of Du Toit here and then you can tell me what Matfield did:-
Matfield0/100/4/76000110/01/110/0
PS du Toit0/000/2/828121015/46/010/0 Start with ball carries, line breaks, defenders beaten and continue with possession losses, tackles made, and line-out work.   But most importantly - go and see what Matfield and Du Toit respectively produced in the Tighter phases of play.   There is no way that Matfield came within 20% of what Du To it did in that game.

So all the commentators were just journos hahaha keep digging.  But it's nice you have found a little club that think a 90 per cent tackle ratio is a good as a 100 per cent ratio. That no try assist is as good as providing one try. That six rote lineouts taken at the back to avoid Victor, is as good as total lineout dominance up front.
Nothing is funnier than  truth deniers.

Try assist, which was that then?

Vic made his tackles, we give him that....he did nothing else, which is the issue.

The commentators said nothing about Vic except that he had stolen loads of line-outs only having to later concede that they got it wrong as Spies and du Plessis had actually made the steals......so try again Moz and answer the question....what did Vic do in that game that was noteworthy.....take your time.

For you to bring up the word truth is laughable, the truth escapes you completely, for even you know that you were speaking a load of S H I T when it came to PSDT vs Matfield
