During the period November to February there is very little in the form of Rugby - especially Southern Hemisphere Rugby - to discuss on this site and there is every chance that rather vicious personal attacks ensue as a result.

I think that we are losing too many forum members as a result of the said problem and would especially refer to te following members who have vannished from the site:-

*   Oi-matey

*   Sasuke Uchina

*   boklgic

*   Arthur John

*   biltongbek

There probably are others as well - members who suffered from severe personal attacks by some elements on this site.

I believe that as site administrator you have the e-mail addresses of the above available.    Can you not send e-mails to the above members and ask them to return to the site - most objective sight members are missing their contributions and would appreciate their return to the site.

Clevermike

PS - I listed a few names that cropped up recently - but other members may wish to add to the list of "missing" members.

 Ou maaaikie I think Admin tried to follow up on the guys who were lost.
A few like Biltong Bek and AJ  are sensitive souls and it was all too muh for them unfortunately. sharky 54 couldnt pull out of tantrum mode and went off in a huff so as to avoid going up in a puff of black smoke!
Pity some oaks cant be a bit more mature!!! Anyhow I am sure we will have a great rugby season with all eyes on the Mighty Stormers!
Perhaps some of the oaks will get over their tantrums and return. They are of course all welcome! Come rugby time they will be anxious to tell everyone how right they were about certain matters forgetting how wr ong they were on most issues!

With all due respect, Mike ... you're blowing this completely out of proportion.

The likes of Sasuke, Oi Matey and Boklogic were more than capable of looking after themselves. We saw that cou ntless times over. They weren't driven away by anyone.

Sad to hear biltongbek left us. I enjoyed him. Knowledgeable lad.

 Yes biltong bek was a great poster but perhaps took things too seriously. However everyone liked him so it was surprising he went of. He certainly couldnt possibly have been driven off. The vast majority of the missing got lost. I believe however admin has tried contacting them without success.

 Hi Clevermike

Thanks for the valid concern.
We have sent out mail to most members who have been quiet over the end of year period. The unfortunate thing is that most members do not have legitimate email addresses.

We will be sending out another mail to the full database before month end. Hopefully word spreads to those who we havent seen over the quiet season.

Thanks again!

Yours in rugga
Ed

Given Bismarck's plunge in form I'm not sure an astute guy like Jake would pay the big money, use up much of his budget, to purchase a fading player. But if he were willing to do this for old time's sake, Bismarck had best snap up the offer.

Jannie is a national treasure, our only viable tighthead and should be kept regardless of the cost.

January 20, 2015, 04:56:30  Here we have Mozart at his best.    He attacks Bismarck for being crap - but Jannie is his "national treasure"    The fool would not accept that in 2014 Jannie was crap as well and that h would be worse in 2015.

Now here we have Kettleblack at his best. He complains of personal attacks, but the pattern you see here is repeated post after post.....string after string. It's a need. Whenever I post, regardless of the view point he has to start with an insult and then continue in that vein. The same is true for posts from Ceradyne and other posters.

The Old hypocrite at his best. He is one of the most reliable " personal attackers".

Some posters, chaps who are busy, will come back when rugby starts. Others will drift away and new posters will emerge. So insult to your heart's content you old fool.....I don't take anything you say seriously....especially those long, boring diatribes about "issues".

No mention was made of any particular members noted for personal attacks - but you came back with a personal attack again.   Are you feeling guilty - or what?

Oh I see.....the fact that you never mentioned names but accused others in general is okay in spite of the fact that you yourself do it all the time. What is hypocrisy.

And just compare the chicken little post which starts the string, with the OOm's earlier comment on the subject. A total  contradiction ....so what is it Oom they will all come back or we have a Board crisis?

January 19, 2015, 17:12:06 I think in general most of  the present missing members will be back by the time the  Super 15 series kicks off - hope Boklogic is one of those.   Also missing Sasue, Biltongbek  and a few others.   Hope they are back by the end of this month.

 The above is typical of what happens when Mozart;s point of view is opposed.   I dffer from him on the Du Plessis Brothers and he did his normal.    The statement "Mozart at his best"  is suddenly turned into being a personal attack on him.
"nd just compare the chicken little post which starts the string, with the OOm's earlier comment on the subject."  Now that sounds more like a personal attack.
Anyway what is wrong with me trying to ensure that the missing members do come back by asking the Editor diplomatically to e-mail members who have departed from this site - asking them to come back?

 Not personal, factual. On January the 19th you say posters will be back when rugby starts...on January 21 you see a "real problem" with departing posters. One confused old fool.

 Not confused - realistic - trying to get some members back that certain posters drove away from this site.

Mike and Moz, you two ballies are equally guilty of hostility! No skin off my back, but I reckon you pensioners are going to give one another a stroke one of these days!
Mike, I'll back you on the call to get old posters back, pretty sure Moz wants that too, he is just argumentative with you regardless, just like you are with him.
