I'm dikker, taller, less gray and cleverer than that oak! Hair is a bit shorter, but only recently. I can't sit on such a flimsy camp stool, won't even try.
PS, my beard used to be meaner, but as courtesy to my wife, I trimmed it a bit.

If it is ou Dawie, I would like to know why he would have balls of cotton wool stuffed in his cheeks because by his account he is a lean slim and trim guy, so it cannot be a matter of having grown a pair of chubby cheeks.

I must be honest. I have seen fatter. He doesn't appear to be bald either.
The rest is fairly nasty to look at though.
That mud flap below his mouth is a pearler though .

Allen Coerie was fatter and he played for the old Springboks (cricket) Dave is an all rounder and I'm sure he does not bowl spin. Never mind the legue, anyone that plays a bit of cricket will know that you have to be fit just to play, never mind taking wickets and making 50's and 100's.
PS, Dave, I'm uglier than you as well, but I swear less to make up for it.

It truly amazes me how easily people adjust and accept the negative as a normal part of life.

The planet suffers from obesity. If you are 20kg overweight, you are considered obese. It pushes your BMI to over 30 and you my friend are heading for disaster. Especially if you're past 50.

The guy in the photo is easily 20kg overweight. In fact I would say he's closer to 30 than 20.

He is obese.

I see a few guys saying that he's not that fat. Is that in comparison to you perhaps?

Do we have a board of lardasses posting here ... on a rugby site?

Seems Draad is way overdue for a pair of takkies. Put that beer down fats and do something about your disgusting self or prepare yourself for a lot of health issues.

When I go to a mall of sorts, 6 out of every 10 guys are obese. It's gotten to the point where I'm looked at as if I'm sick or from another planet.

Obesity has become an acceptable condition.

Seems that having pride in one's appearance is no longer the norm. Now stuffing our faces with high carb foods and booze is the way to go.

Why not ... everyone does it!!

Madness!!

"When I go to a mall of sorts, 6 out of every 10 guys are obese. It's gotten to the point where I'm looked at as if I'm sick or from another planet"

ROTFLMFAO !!!!!!

Sies laaitie, you have a problem son, constantly weighing yourself up against other people, you have a inferiority complex.

Work on your self worth son, and I will even assist with your recovery

CC.. You are not a bad laaitie..... I really mean that.... stop comparing yourself to others son

That's true, Redneck ... but one does get the impression there's at least two brain cells he can rub together ... whereas Devil is solid bone from the neck up.

I mean look at that last post of his.

CC... your stupidity astounds me here

I decided to copy this original post below by you, about me, to make it entertaining

"I at first thought Ceradyne was Devil's Advocate but Devil has a definite "duh" tone about him ... so I've changed my mind."

So I replied

"I at first thought CC was mildly intelligent... so I've changed my mind"

Now if that's where this "duh" originated, I will leave it up to the rest to determine who the real  idiot is here

Tell me Duh ... are you the fruit of a long line of inbreeding?

Stupidity is usually the first sign of this.

Don't be offended. I mean it's not as if you can help it now is it?

I'm genuinely interested. These things happen. Brother and sister doing the nasty after a evening of heavy drinking and voila ... Duh is conceived.

Probably came out smelling of cane or meths or whatever it is you low life hicks enjoy drinking.

Is your forehead heavily slanted? That's usually also a telltale sign of inherited stupidity and inbreeding.

Did it take you till around the age of twenty to eventually figure out how to tie your shoe laces?

Come now ... don't be shy.

I need to understand. If you don't tell I'll end up treating you like a normal person and then I'll be accused of bullying the handicapped.

We don't want that now do we?

CC, the home gym is almost set up completely. Am starting full on training in a month. Up till then I'm only working on the cardio. Gonna struggle to completely cut the bear intake, already cut it in half. Already cut the wheat,  potatoes and rice, except for the sushi on Mondays. I'll get there, but thanks for the concern.

Great stuff Draad!! Glad to hear it.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Cardio is priority number 1.

Pushing your pulse rate above 120 and keeping it there for 20 minutes at least 3x a week will make a massif difference in your life. If you can manage more ... great ... but no less than 3x a week.

Apart from the many health benefits (including the prevention of prostrate cancer) running in particular causes your body to release something called nitric oxide which is known to strip away fatty deposits within your blood vessels. Your body usually produces this but in tiny quantities. This over time will assist you with blood pressure issues as well as cholesterol.

Apart from that ... you'll feel like a million bucks.

Also, before I get complete carried away here ... the biggest challenge is keeping yourself motivated ... try to envisage the end result ... what you look like after it's all said and done ... keep that image before you. That's what I do. It helps me hit the road and the weight training when all I wanna do is sit and chill with a cold one.

Good luck.

Some good suggestions CC

If a person has a high good cholesterol and a high bad cholesterol, would you suggest the same training regime, or something different ?

Pulse rate above 120....hahahaha....I know 67 year olds that push it to 130 and keep it there for 30 minutes four times a week. You chaps have a long way to go in the fitness stakes. But far from making me feel great, it makes me feel tired. I feel great after a nice fillet steak done medioum rare.

Moz your comment is neither here nor there. A person's pulse rate is directly linked to there level of fitness. These 67 year old's you are talking about could just be monumentally fat and unfit, therefore, a trip from the TV to the treat cupboard could take them 20 minutes and cause them to have an pulse of 130bpm!
In other words, when I was unfit, it was easy to achieve a heart rate of 130+.........because I WAS UNFIT!!
I must say though, I agree about the fillet done medium rare! I'll take that anytime over a workout!!!
