Thanks 3ku1, I notice Boks were not top of any category, even in the set piece they did not do well, e.g. scrums.
Scrums Success (%):

Japan: 100.00

All Blacks: 97.0

France: 94.0

England: 93.0

Romania: 92.0

Springboks:

90.0

Scrum successs means nothing, Australia's scrum successs was 100% against England and we all know how that went.

BB: I agree the ultimate stat is the games won.
I used the scrums as an example, look at all the other categories, the Boks did not come on the top of any category. You would expect Boks to be top of categories involving physicality.

JW the Boks had an uncharacteristically poor tour.

I believe it is due to players being over played and the poor decision making by the leadership on the field of play.

Yes, it was a poor tour the only real hope is that Meyer got answers to the questions he has about his players & that with a few changes & player development the team as a whole improve dramatically.

I struggle to see what it was he tried to figure out this tour.

He didn't allow for continuity for the youngsters that he sporadically threw into the mix, and it seems to me almost as a plan to want the youngsters to fail so he can fuel his belief that experience is what will win him the world cup, regardless off form.

These stats don't really mean much as teams didn't play the same opposition.
How many meters did NZ rack up against USA? They scored 12 tries against them.

That maybe true, but it still took a bit of an effort to compile or these stats together. At least show credit where its due. They don't mean anything because SA diddn't top the lists lol. They do mean something as this is stats overall. I don't think playing the same opposition means much. The main three and NH teams pretty much played each other.

Interesting reading, thanks for that. Aus did fairly well in a lot of stats, now we just need turn that into wins.
