This article is from the Cape Times. A similar article was published on both Sport24 and on Planet Rugby but both articles appear to have been pulled.

Looks like sensationalist journalism at it's worst but if you consider one of the other articles mentioned the wine farm was in Wellington, it doesn't require Sherlock Holmes to work out who the the ex-Springbok is who is accused of attempted murder.

Probably Jan Boland Coetzee is my guess.  However, I think it is BS and will just be a political issue only - would get nowhere in court.

I don't know where Jan Boland is farming nowadays - he used to be at Kanonkop, but I think that the partnership between PO Saur's daughter and Jan Boland broke up a few years ago.
It cannot be Jan Boland though - he is farming at Vriesenhof near Stellenbosch nowadays.

I only know one ex-Springbok with a wine farm in Wellington . . . and it's not Jan-Boland Coetzee.

I can recall some family strife issues and similar claims against Schalla's dad in the past. I think it's still the same thing blown out of proportion. A family member coerced with farm workers to bring claims against him. Let's see what happens.
