FAO: Becs - what do you make of Eddie Jones?

I know you were strongly against the appoint of Eddie Jones but he really seems to be turning England into a decent force, are you still against it because you think you should have an Englishman at the helm or is the b ig man winning you around?

 Yes. England's coach must English.  Mallet wasn't English enough either. Born there and Oxford Blues in 4 codes I think. The coach and players should be proper Pom s, not other riff-raff 

 Wins playing the type of rugby Eddie Jones and Jake White (and Clive) are famous for are an obstacle to the evolution of rugby union to make it a global game.

She thinks useless Lancaster should still be the coach, that no foreigner should ever coach England and that the only reason England won a grand slam for the first time in 13 years is because all the sides are so poor and that England are the best of a poor bunch. Her words to me......there is no educating Becs on this point.......despite the results speaking for themselves

 Eddie Jones was cutting edge with the Brumbies.....others have copied his ideas. He revived Bok back play to win the WC....coached Japan to an epic win over the Boks and wins the grand slam at his first try.
He is undoubtedly one of the top 5 coaches in the game. England are lucky to have him.

 Not to mention winning S15 and losing a WC in extra time by 3 a drop goal.
Hehehehe It's only the unbelievably rugby ignorant Rooitjies who believes that Eddie is an average and an over-rated coach!!! More egg coming his way when England win more trophies and work their way into the final of the next WC. As for Eddie's contribution with the Boks, I credit him alone for helping with the backline and it worked a treat through the pool games but from the quarters onwards credit goes to Jake as he tightened up the Boks to playing clinical and mistake free rugby, just the same as the AB's played in the quarterfinal against the Boks at the last WC . From the quarters onwards the Boks had the Jake factor about them not the Eddie factor.

 The Reds are uncoachable....even the man above would be scratching his head. How many coaches have they had since Ewen McKenzie?
